Amelia got down from her car and catwalked into the school.
Many eyes were on her but she doesn't even care or appreciate the praises.
Her friends joined her,April,Juliet and Jennifer.
They entered the class,the teacher is already teaching.
“ you girls are late again ” the teacher said
Amelia scoffed. “ you are paid right? So do your fucking job and let us be okay?”
The whole class gasped.
“ infact I'm not interested in attending this class today ”
She walked out and her friends followed. A boy spilled latte and coffee on her

“ I heard that you are new in school,how is life in school?”
“ today was my first day in school ” he said and sipped his drink. He gulped it all at
once. A waitress passed and Amelia took one glass.

She looked inside the red plastic cap and threw it away.
“ sorry, I'm also allergic to it ” she said. He looked at her and smiled
“ I am also allergic to carrots,are you?” she nodded and took her lips in. “ I love

“ we have a lot of similarities ” he said and she nodded brushing the strands of
hair beside her ear
“ I need to go,see you tomorrow ” she said and left. Her necklace fell,she didn't
notice it.
He bend down to pick it and held it in his hand. Amelia is written on the necklace.
He smiled and put it in his pocket. He took a cab and went home staring at the

I and Damien have a project together and I went to his house but couldn't enter so I
called him out.
He came out looking at me in a questioning look.
" Just get in " I snapped
" Okay " he said after hesitating a little. He got in. " I will direct you to a quiet place

" Where?" I asked not believing that anywhere can be quiet in his neighborhood.
" Just drive okay?" He said looking at his phone.
Calm down Amelia, this is a bet and you must win it.
I smiled. " Sure " I said and ignited the engine. he kept directing me until we
reached a green place. It is so green that only a single beach is not green.
He opened a door that is green and we entered a more beautiful place. There are
butterflies flattering everywhere,flowers of different colors and a little pond.
I took my laptop with me taking steady step on the grass.
" Sit " he said. He was sitting on the grass.
I sat down looking around. It is really beautiful and quiet too, only birds chirping
could be heard.
" It is really quiet " I said smiling
He looked at me. " Thanks,I found it when I was five "

My phone beeped with notifications and I picked it up to check it. I checked it and

I don't know what is happening to me. I think I like Amelia.

Damien's eyes widened. " Mom,, that's enough "

stomach,it is a lowlife food. " I don't want to decrease the meal for you "

I looked around the house. It is really small,my closet is bigger than this house.
I sat down on the plastic chair. There are plastic chairs surrounding a plastic table
that foods were on.
She dished mine meal in a plate and gave it to me. I wanted to eat but she slapped

Amelia and I walked into our secret place. Amelia and I became really close this
past couple of months.
She closed her eyes,hands spread wide and spinning. I tucked my hands in my
pocket, staring at her.

make some specials. Here is some sprinkles " she said, dropping two containers
of sprinkles. I felt bad now,her sad face and her sad eyes.

Damien is back to school after he recovered. He stayed away from Amelia...well,

Amelia went home after the incident that she told him she loves him and was so
mad at herself. So, she avoided him.

The students were eating and chatting in the cafeteria. Natalie and her girls
walked to Amelia's table.
Amelia groaned while rolling her eyes. " What is it?"
" A little birdie told me that you and Dammy aren't dating anymore " Natalie said

Days passed and turned into weeks. Damien was feeling bad for snapping at
Amelia so he decided to ask her over for dinner at his house using Audrey.

She rang the doorbell and Damien opened the door.

Christmas was fast approaching as the students of Greenville High studied for
examination. The leisure time wasn't fun for them again because it was shortened
to thirty minutes. The library became crowded as the students always wants to
read especially the final year students.
Amelia started to study with her boyfriend; Damien. She really wanted to pass this
year exams because Damien said he had a gift for her if she passes.
She sometimes studies on her own. Her friends noticed her unusual behavior and
asked her but she always gave her normal reply which is. " Everything is alright. I'm
fine as you can see "
They soon left her to get weird behavior. April and Daniel are seldom going on

The day for the examination finally came. The students had the mostly serious

Amelia was in a empty class, studying. She had the bottom tip of the pen in her

Amelia's pov
I looked into his eyes and it tells me everything.
He loves me, this guy right in front of me loves me and I love him too.
I've always thought that the word was just a word but now I know, it's more than a
word, it is a feeling of emotions that I can't explain.
I wrapped my hands around his neck but not too tightly. " You're the best boyfriend
ever " I said to him.
He grinned. " I'm honored " he says. I slowly close the gap between us to kiss him
but a sound of someone clearing their throat stopped me. I looked and I felt my
happiness vanish.
It was Natalie standing in the class with a big smirk on her face. What does she
want? I am too busy to talk with her.
I unwrapped my hands around him and stood up. " Let's go to the hall, the
examination will soon start " I said to my boyfriend. He nodded and stood up.
As we tried to leave, she held me back. I signalled to Damien to leave us alone and
he did after much pleasing.
He is such a nice boyfriend, he doesn't want to leave me with a witch.
" What do you want?" I immediately snapped when he was out of sight.
" I think you have been too distracted lately so I just wanted to remind you about
the bet " she said nicely. A feeling of nauseous came upon me as she was acting
nicely. It irk my skin, it is her to talk nicely at all.

Amelia's face was colorless, her mind racing an unstoppable run.
" I hope you didn't forget " Natalie's voice dragged her back to reality.

informing me? "

It is our Christmas holiday season and we are all at home. Audrey have been

white Christmas "
" Really?" She asked, inspecting my face. " Sure, you can go. "
