AIM To study dibit pair coding techniques for Non-Return to Zero data format.

THEORY

Non-Return to Zero data signal are the easiest formats that can be

PROCEDURE:

1 Connect the AC supply to the kit.

2 Ensure that allfaults are in ON position.
3 Make connections and settings as shown in above figure.
4 Give some data pattern input using switch SW3 as 11000000

5 Observe the following waveforms on oscilloscope

a SCLOCK output (TP1)"
b) DATAoutput (TP2)
c) NRZ-L coder data output (TP4)
d) Coded data Ibit (TP10)
e) Coded data Q bit (TP9)
6 Compare the wave form with below given wave form.
7 Repeat this procedure for below given data pattern
11001100
10101010
ii) 11110000

EFFECT OF SWITOCH FAULT:

Keep the connections as per the procedure said above. Now put switch 1 of SW1 in switch faults
section to OFF position. Observe the different effect on the output. This will remove clock signal (125 KHZ 180
deg) in the generation of | bit and hence it will disable the generation of the I bit at the output of Dibit conversion.

CONCLUSION:
The data are coded in Dibit which generates.
