Summary
ILA is an NGO that provides mechanisms to facilitate knowledge and experience transfer among
sectors and countries and carries out national and international training, research and consultancy
projects on employment, entrepreneurship, vocational qualification, migration, volunteering, youth
work, and labour relations.
Details
ILA contributes to national, regional, European, and international development goals by;
Defending the justice, human rights & rule of law; facilitating access for disadvantaged people
including migrants, Romas, and/or other minorities; facilitating inter-cultural dialogue on
ethics, religion, and philosophy; supporting the integration of refugees and post-conflict/post-
disaster rehabilitation.
Expanding transportation systems that offer a wide range of mobility opportunities to people.
Promoting the use of sustainable energy resources to meet global clean energy goals,
combating environment, and climate change.
What are the activities, interests, and experiences of your organization in the areas relevant to the
project topic?
ILA has taken part in the following projects and held activities on the project theme.
The "Think, Dream and Discover with Digital Storytelling" project encouraged teachers and
students to use digital storytelling and creative writing in their lessons. A virtual exhibition and a
digital storybook containing the UN Sustainable Development Goals were developed during the
project.
The "E-mentorship for (E)quality in Early Childhood Education" project brought experienced
and novice teachers together to support children's early childhood experience and reduce their
achievement gap. The project developed an effective one-to-one e-mentorship program for novice
preschool teachers assigned to schools with predominantly disadvantaged students.
The "Equipped Young Entrepreneurs" project increased the entrepreneurs' risk awareness
based on common entrepreneurial mistakes and examples of unsuccessful attempts. The project
motivated and equipped adult entrepreneurs to overcome deficiencies in individual, financial,
talent, network and strategic planning.
The "Increase The Capacity Of Migrant And Refugees in Agriculture Sector" project created
better employment opportunities for migrants and refugees to improve their living standards and
integration into the host society. The project developed an online employment and learning
platform for employers and job seekers in the agricultural sector.
The "Protect the Environment for Future Generations" project drew the attention of young
people to the importance of water, organic agriculture, forests and the harms of chemical
agriculture. Within the project's scope, young people participated in organic fertilizer and
germination workshops and developed content on sustainable agriculture and food safety.
The "Academy for Responsible Development" project increased young people's awareness and
social commitment to sustainable development. The project created an innovative e-learning tool
for the youth workers, describing the Academy of Responsible Development model.
The "Connecting Girls to STEM" project increased female students' interest in STEM education
and encouraged them to make effective career choices in STEM. The project introduced teachers
and trainers developing digital technologies and interdisciplinary learning methodologies that
reduce the skills gap in the labour market.
The "Vermicomposting: The Future of Sustainable Agriculture and Organic Waste Management
in Europe" project aimed to study, research, and verify the production techniques and
specifications of vermicomposting for safe, sustainable, nutritious and healthy food production.
The project developed online educational materials and held training activities for farmers,
producers, consumers, and sector professionals.
The "Our Future: Useful Recovery" project presented the ecosystem of circularity and
explained how actors collaborate and share knowledge on the circular economy. The project
studied recycling options, innovative food waste solutions, and household and commercial
garbage disposal into liquid organic fertiliser.
The "Digital World @ Schools" project contributed to the better use of digital technology for
teaching and developing relevant digital skills and competencies for digital transformation. The
project addressed the role of coding, artificial Intelligence, machine learning, the internet of
things and data analysis in school education.
The "From Tradition to Innovation" project developed the artistic aspects of young people and
increased their employability in the handicraft sector. During the project, participants acquired
knowledge and new skills in leather processing, household items made of soil and clay, and
knitting and wooden products sectors.
The "Introducing Floor Curling to Young People with Sustainable Green Energy" project
increased the qualifications of people and sports organizations in floor curling sports. The project
supported disadvantaged youth who wanted to discover their talents and become active and
professional athletes.
The "Opinion Independence In The Digital World" project developed a training curriculum to
turn the social media influencer profession into a European graduate-level education. The project
organised four international influencers' summits in Turkey, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands and
an interactive e-learning platform for influencers and trainers.
The "Chase your Footprint" project improved the competencies of educators and other adult
education staff on environmental awareness, decarbonising the energy sector and global
environmental standards. The project enabled behavioural changes for individual carbon-free
travels and consumption habits by paying attention to carbon footprints.
The "Advocacy for Legality" project investigated the perception of illegal phenomena
regarding active citizenship, co-responsibility and respect for legality. The project created a
vocabulary of legality and provided skills and methodologies for structuring advocacy campaigns.
The "Sensitive Language Regarding Disability for a More Inclusive Society" project stressed the
importance of using sensitive language to foster inclusion and equality. The project raised
awareness among trainers and educators to end discrimination and stigmatisation against people
with disabilities.
The "Exodus" project was part of exchanging good practices in favor of migrants, political
refugees, and asylum seekers. The project's intervention area was to reinforce the
key competencies of adult learners through inclusive activities such as art therapy, performing
arts, volunteering, human rights campaigns, and digital media communication.
The "Digital Health Literacy to Increase the Resilience of the Disadvantaged Group" project
increased digital health literacy to increase the resilience of the elderlies, disabled, and stay-at-
home mothers who cannot get out easily in accessing digital skills applied in the health sector.
Project developed tools for letting users better manage their health and disease and make their
health literate.
The "Become Busy 2.0" project supported the initial stage of maturing innovative
ideas through education, mentoring, consulting, and networking activities. By developing
a virtual pre-incubator, a MOOC, and a digital library for youth, the project contributed to growing
ideas into a viable business.
The "VOLU.M.E." project developed the institutional capacity of CSOs and enhanced
the youngsters’ active citizenship through voluntary activities. The project developed a volunteer
management model and established an effective tool for volunteer organizations.
The "European Youth Summit" project brought together 250 young people from different
countries and regions of the EU in 2022, the European Year of Youth, to raise awareness of the
protection of Human Rights. The summit was framed within the European Youth Strategy and
resulted in new contributions that enriched the youth plans and strategies of cities, county
councils and governments.
The "Upskilling Adults 45+, with Migrant Background" project focused on tackling the
difficulties of (re)insertion into the labour market and in the community of migrants both from the
EU and outside the EU and of return migrants. The project developed integrated solutions
necessary for adult education providers to support (re)migrants, adults aged 45+, to acquire
basic skills: entrepreneurship, digital and soft skills, and/or to validate their competencies.
The "Social entrepreneurship - the heart of rural development" project promoted the
development of rural areas through entrepreneurship education. Project motivated participants to
cooperate and develop social enterprises by using cultural, social and environmental resources in
their residential areas.
The "No Gender Gap" project improved the attractiveness of the STEM disciplines through the
use of robotics and automation, which have proven to be a means of successful involvement and
promoted digital literacy and critical thinking in women, especially those in situations of social
exclusion and belonging to disadvantaged groups, thus reducing the gender gap and improving
access to the labour market.
The "Keys To Giving Back" project focused on developing teaching methods for those
interested in passing on their competences. The project gathered information on how the retired
generation is transferring their knowledge to the younger generation while simultaneously
remaining active members of the community.
The "Smart Aspirations Future Employment+" project shared best practices that work with
youngsters with migrant, marginalised and unemployed background. The project fostered the
provision and assessment of digital competences by supporting personalised learning
approaches, collaborative learning and strategic use of ICT.
The "Promoting social awareness in rural area" project promoted entrepreneurial learning -
entrepreneurship education of social and civic competences in rural training centres. The project
applied a set of cultural heritage and entrepreneurial tools to promote youth participation in rural
areas.
The "Diversity and Inclusion in VET" project promoted diversity management and inclusion in
the workplace. The project brought together public, private and academic partners with expertise
in diversity, anti-discrimination and inclusive workplaces to empower SMEs.
The "European Human Rights Network of Towns" project addressed the need to consolidate
local resources and hear from the local citizens about their needs and challenges to enjoy their
human rights. The project contributed to developing new local civic activism groups and
networks, promoting human rights, diversity and inclusion.
The "Voluntary Youth Work Recognition for Employability" project increased recognition of
voluntary youth work in society and among employers, to acknowledge and validate youth
volunteering in local, regional and national level. The project enlarged NGOs skills with giving
certain procedures on how to work with volunteers and how to involve them in their activities.
The “From Us to You International” project aimed to facilitate the emergence of positive peer
role models and boost the self-esteem, lobbying power and the equal chances for the Roma
settlements and young migrants. The project used a methodology based on an inclusive and
holistic approach and outdoor experiential education and coaching synergy.
The "The Action Lab - Generating Social Businesses" project built capacities of youth through
simulation, business understanding, and active citizenship. The project produced a training
scheme and a virtual platform to up-skill entrepreneurship. It supported youth aged 18-30 from
refugee communities for leading social businesses and to launch innovative social businesses
contributing to solving locally relevant issues.
The "Routes Of Our Future" project disseminated information and promote discussions and
structured dialogue along the paths of mobility actions in order to stimulate active participation in
political life and involvement in the 2019 European elections. During the project 80, Young
European bikers from 14 nationalities cycled 8000 km for 21 days across 12 Europe countries.
Participants finally got to Prague for the final meeting.
The "Get Ready for Life" project studied youth entrepreneurship to foster the conceptual
understanding on means, measures and effects of entrepreneurship education. Key aspects of the
project were placed on entrepreneurship education for soft skills development (communication
skills, teamwork and collaboration, adaptability, problem-solving, critical observation, conflict
resolution) and entrepreneurial thinking.
The "Summit on Active Youth Participation in Green Growth" project gathered youngsters and
policymakers to discuss the obstacles to youth participation in green growth and local governance
mechanisms. During the summit, youth representatives increased their lobbying skills while
policymakers had a chance to get youth perspectives.
The "Youth Hands in Hands for Combating Drug and Substance Abuse" project reviewed
national youth policies in partner countries to combat against drug and substance abuse from the
perspective of young people. Participants had an overview of the legal and regulatory framework,
exchanged the experience on preventing drug and substance consumption.
The "Equality in Solidarity" project was based upon art studios, therapeutical activities and
professional activities simulators that gather companies in a concept of integrated development.
Participants worked with people with disabilities and were interested in music, dance, theatre,
sports, cooking, computers, handicrafts, gardening, history, photography, and arts.
The "Clothes Bank" project indirectly helped people in need by recycling the waste clothes of
society. Within the project's scope, volunteers gathered the leftover clothing through donations,
made them ready for online sales, delivered the income and delivered the remaining clothes to
the Social Aid and Solidarity Foundations.
The "St Nicholas Ways" project preserved tangible cultural heritage as a significant contributor
to economic value to the local community. Volunteers redeveloped hiking and trekking paths
between ruined Byzantine churches known as St Nicholas Roads, part of the Lycian Way.
The "EVS for Empowering Vulnerable Social Groups" project increased the rate of attendance
to schools among the migrant kids who left their homes because of the conflict in Syria and
empowered the temporary education services for them. Project created synergy among
associated organisations and network around migrant issues.
The "Volunteer Solidarity" project encouraged the entrepreneurial, creative and proactive
attitude of volunteers and contributed to their personal development for combatting social
exclusion and discrimination. Project hold curricular enrichment activities at schools and
promoted interculturality dialogue among youngsters.
The "International Volunteer for Craiova Youth Capital" project increased the involvement of
local and international youth in cultural, sports and educational activities and contribute to the
success of the national competition Craiova Youth Capital 2021. During the project, 16 free youth
activities were implemented in cooperation with 500 young people including 20 disadvantaged
people.
The "Agueda Volunteering Land: From local to Europe" project promoted European social
values, diversity and interculturality. The project empowered volunteers with new competencies
and learning based on NFL and encouraged the entrepreneurial, creative and proactive attitude of
volunteers.
The "Dream Big 2.0" project developed entrepreneurship education through sports. The
project gave youngsters guidelines for growing their businesses and gaining an entrepreneurial
mindset, self-discipline, hard work, persistence and dedication.
The "Consent / Please Knock Before Entering" project fostered the ability of young people to
make conscious decisions about their sexuality and relationships, as well as their well-being and
health. The project equipped youth workers and teachers with information, creative tools &
methods to incorporate sexual education into youth work and education.
The "Entrepreneurship Festival for Youth Workers" project aimed to increase youth workers'
knowledge, skills, and competence levels in entrepreneurship using non-formal training methods.
The project encouraged entrepreneurship to combat youth unemployment, promote intercultural
dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity, and raise awareness among young people.
The project designed innovative intervention methods, offering meetings, exchanges, and non-
formal learning opportunities for youth workers and producing a digital document detailing best
practices, all aimed at enhancing competence in managing conflicts and trauma during
emergency scenarios. During the activity, participants crafted innovative methods of intervention,
emphasizing non-formal and informal learning for youth workers, alongside the development and
dissemination of a digital resource to share best practices in the field.
The "Act Against Hate" project promoted equality, social inclusion and active citizenship to
reduce the harmful effects of hate speech. The project improved youth workers' communication
skills and competencies to solve problems, arguments and interpersonal violence better.
The "Enhancing Entrepreneurial Skills of Youth Workers Through Education" project promoted
entrepreneurship as a tool to combat youth unemployment. The project gathered youngsters
from Europe, Asia and Africa participants to enhance their entrepreneurial skills, enrich business
ideas and help them to develop business plans.
The "Waste Academy, Save our Planet!" project taught participants about a resource-efficient,
green, competitive low-carbon economy. Participants formulated suggestions for living within the
planet's ecological limits and contributing to our shared sustainable future.
The “Media literacy for you(th)” project focused on developing skills to navigate the extreme
amount of data on the internet and distinguish the correct information from fake news. The
project improved the media literacy of youngsters to access, critically evaluate, and create or
manipulate media.
The "Sustain Your Water" project aims to raise awareness about the harmful effects of water
pollution by educating young people about the dangers of water pollution caused by waste oil,
fertilizers, chemicals, and other pollutants and promoting recycling. The project includes courses,
workshops, and study visits aimed at educating young people on the importance of water quality
and the adoption of sustainable practices to protect the environment.
The "Awakening: Human Rights Education" project aimed to empower young people to
promote human rights among their peers through non-formal education activities. The training
course introduced and developed skills in human rights education through non-formal HRE tools
and encouraged empathy, inclusion, and non-discrimination in the communities.
The "Enhancing digital competencies and media literacy for inclusive societies" project
supported social integration by raising awareness of social media and media literacy. Participants
used social media channels, mobile applications, digital games and various gamification tools
during the project.
The "Developing Entrepreneurship with the Mentoring Network" project improved the Z
generation's entrepreneurial and mentorship skills. The project encouraged youngsters for part-
time and freelance work and provided mentorship training to develop their competencies.
The "Feeling Like New" project aimed to increase young people's employability by developing
their basic skills and creating awareness about the importance of young leadership. During the
training, participants learnt digital tools, networking, time management, using body language,
presentation and diction techniques, SWOT analysis, and personal branding training.
The "Self-employer in a Rural Area? Why not?" project focused on the cultural and creative
sectors. The project provided essential entrepreneurial skills for participants to tackle youth
unemployment and promote local cultural initiatives, self-employment, culture and
entrepreneurial craftsmanship.
The "Fighting islamophobia and preventing the rise of far-right extremism" project aimed to
enhance critical thinking, digital skills, and legal frameworks for tackling Islamophobia among
youth workers. During the activities, evidence-based interventions, videos, and a handbook for
enhancing understanding of the driving factors of European anti-Islamic sentiment were produced.
The "You(th) are E-ctivist" project aimed to improve youth workers' digital competencies and
build youth organisations' capacities to create online educational content for young people in an
inspiring and motivating way. The project used digital storytelling and e-learning based on the
Berkeley method to promote cultural diversity and explore the cultural identity of young people,
including Roma, migrants, refugees, and local young people.
The "Young Forest Guardians" project contributed to forest protection and campaigned against
deforestation and destruction. The project introduced advocacy as a tool to become agents of
change by changing own stances and habits towards forest protection.
The"Healthy Planet, Healthy People" project made contact with nature and taught the
principles of eco-social design. During the project, participants connected the natural ecosystem
with mountain hikes and plant identification and created narratives on ecological life.
The "Sounds & Voices of the Exodus" project explored ways to prevent racism and
discrimination and spread human rights and the rule of law from a migration perspective. The
project used non-formal learning methods to shed light on stereotypes, prejudices, and realities of
Europe.
The "Nature for Fun, Therapy, and Learning" project aimed to increase young people's
connection with nature and society, improving their mental and physical well-being and fostering
proper use of technology through creative outdoor nature-based learning activities combined with
digital tools. The project was driven by the increase in social anxiety, unhealthy habits, and
dependence on digital media in young people after the pandemic, particularly among
disadvantaged youths.
The "Sharks in My Bathtub - Art for Building Inner Resilience" project promoted art as a form of
self-knowledge through self-expression and the following discovery of inner strength and skills
such as resilience, emotional competencies and flexibility. During the activity, participants used
non-formal artistic tools such as found poetry, Dada’s writing, creative writing methods, photo
works, painters’ life examples, drawing, mindfulness, and land art.
The "Stand Up! for Refugees" project aimed to raise young workers' and volunteers'
awareness in favour of refugee integration and social inclusion. Through providing mechanisms
and resources to increase empathy towards refugees, the project aimed to improve the skills and
key competencies of young people and promote participation in democratic life, active
citizenship, intercultural dialogue, and social inclusion to transform negative behaviours towards
immigrants into positive ones.
The "Youth's Voice, Youth's Future" project examined the concept of democracy and anti-
democratic practices. During the project, participants discussed the EU's values, freedom of
expression, freedom of movement, and human rights.
The "Intercultural Music in Kırıkkale" project aimed to promote cultural diversity and youth
participation in music. During the activity, participants enhanced their musical skills and
awareness of European cultural heritage through music workshops, cultural transfer and
performances to foster intercultural dialogue and social inclusion.
The "An Inspiration for Youth Workers: Proverbs" project aimed to enhance the institutional
capacity of youth organizations through quality non-formal teaching methods. The project
implemented innovative educational practices using proverbs and attractive content, methods,
and techniques to achieve behaviour change in the target audience.
The "GENder EQUality LITeracY" project raised awareness about gender roles and inequalities.
The project facilitated intercultural discussions and advocacy on gender balance, equal jobs, and
equal payment to prevent gender discrimination and bullying.
The "Sustainable Youth" project sought to increase youth workers' capacity in environmental
literacy through innovative pedagogical approaches. The project targeted the development of
youth workers' skills in Sustainable Cities and Communities, Circular Economy, Renewable
Energy, Responsible Production and Consumption, and Climate Action.
The "Disinformation in nowadays world" project emphaised the importance of digital literacy
and its effects on learning, education and work performance. During the project, participants
learned how to use digital tools in virtual life and work situations including remote working,
learning efficiency, and digital safety.
The "Performing Hearts" project strengthened youth workers' skills in art and performance
methodologies for use in their profession. The project ensured more participation of young people
in local activities in the organization with the knowledge developed and applied during the project
activity.
The "Training Young Mediterranean Actors" project built collaborations between the
Mediterranean and European countries. The project brought together ten countries in the Arab
and European regions to meet and exchange diverse technical and strategic expertise on
cooperation project design.
The "World Worth IT" project aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of the global climate
crisis, focusing on plastic and electronic waste. The project provided theoretical and practical
trainings for participants to create short films about the climate crisis to increase visibility and
promote a solution-oriented approach to the climate crisis among participants.
The "Build Peace with Masters of Thoughts: Kant, Erasmus, Mevlana" project increased the
participants' awareness of discrimination, racism, xenophobia, prejudices and stereotypes. The
project introduced intellectual ambassadors, their pioneering works, and methods to show how
they can spread this awareness and tolerance in their society.
The "Sustainable Diet for a Sustainable Climate" project aimed to raise awareness among
young people about sustainable, healthy eating and its effects on the global climate crisis. During
the activity, participants examined good practices, developed their projects and sustainable
nutrition and climate strategy and worked on the booklet to adapt sustainable nutrition to their
lives individually.
The "Hope in a Changing Climate" project aimed to equip youth workers with narratives, tools,
and methods to engage young individuals on climate and ecological matters, emphasizing
permaculture, ecosystem restoration, and nature connection exercises. The training provided
tools like nature connection and mindfulness exercises and immersed participants in an
ecologically mindful setting, preparing them to assist youth affected by climate-related concerns.
The "We are Equal" project raised awareness about gender equality and women's rights.
During the project, participants discussed the characteristics of violence against women,
preventing all kinds of sexual and physical violence against women and wage inequality in
business life.
The "Invisible" project aimed to support and increase the participation and inclusion of young
people with chronic health conditions in international youth projects by ensuring their safety. The
project focused on building the capacities of professionals who directly work with young people
and increasing the capacities of organizations working with young people, especially at the
international level.
The "Crime Has No Race" project focused on eliminating racial biases and judgments to build a
conservative, non-discriminatory society. In the project, young lawyers visited the Hague Tribunal
in the Netherlands, studied the judiciary used in international punishments and war crimes, and
created a documentary explaining that refugees have similar abilities to other citizens.
The “Youth work against hate speech” project aimed to combat racism and discrimination and
act against human rights violations. The project equipped young people and youth organisations
with the necessary competencies to enable them to recognise, challenge and ultimately
transform hate speech.
The "FAKE (Finding Alternative Kommunication Etiquettes)" project focused on the positive
aspects of social media and digital gadgets, considering fake realities and fake news. The project
increased critical thinking and attitude toward social media among young people and improved
youngsters' self-image and confidence.
The "Re-Think!" project handled reducing, reusing, recycling, refusing, and recovering material
consumption in daily life through sharing good practices among young people and partner
organizations. Participants discussed Sustainable Development Goals and improved their
competencies in "green skills" through the project's creative workshops.
The "Straw free Youth" project encouraged young participants to switch their lifestyles with
plastic straw-free choices. Participants studied Green Europe values and created a short
animation movie and a handbook about the harms, personal precautions and alternatives of
plastic straws to visualise and explain the concepts.
The "YEA: Youth, Environmental, Action" project focused on the complexity of the natural
environment and biodiversity protection. Participants attended trekking, birdwatching, and
outdoor meditation activities in the Grappa Massif's mountain area, one of Italy's most affluent
natural areas, which became a Biosphere Reserve of Unesco - MAB Programme.
The "Recognising Inequalities, Working for Equity" project empowered men and women to
overcome stereotypes and misinformation about the gender approach and the new masculinities.
The project worked on four elements based on the UN Spotlight Initiative "Do no harm", "Talk
about it", "Influence for good" and "Broaden the solutions" and created a booklet.
The "Think globally - Volunteer locally" project promoted volunteering as a tool for active
citizenship and societal progress. The project presented youth workers with diverse volunteering
opportunities, ideas, tools, and information applicable during natural and human-caused
disasters.
The "TIme for TaLes in Europe" project promoted common European values through the
analysis of fairy tales and famous stories. Participants were involved in creating new stories
representing the current and dream European Union.
The "Rural Entrepreneurship without Limits" project gathered entities with expertise in
different fields in rural entrepreneurship to share their experience. Participants discussed crafting,
agriculture, rural tourism, cultural management, digitalization, and cattle raising, shared various
tools, met with role models and reflected on facilitating young people entrepreneurship and
making networking activities.
The "Seminars for Strong Contacts" project encouraged entrepreneurship as a tool to combat
youth unemployment for organizations. During the project, youth workers gained a better
understanding of the need for business development to create new ideas and job opportunities.
The "Seedlings for Engagement, Creativity and Empowerment" project concerned the climate
and ecology and applied mindfulness and body movement. The project offered participants an
experience in nature to learn, reflect, care and be emotionally safe.
The "DemocraTICs" project drew attention to the role of social and information networks in
democratic societies, data security and digital rights. Participants learned to distinguish pages,
profiles, channels and content with reliable information from fake news portals and elements
appropriate for critical analysis of social networks.
The "Fighting eAting diSorders among Teens" project focused on the preventive activity of
unhealthy eating habits and promoting psychophysical health. Participants acquired knowledge
concerning behavioural eating disorders, symptoms and causes, and how to manage them if they
occur in the peer group.
The "Conflict as an opportunity" project prevented radicalisation and spread nonviolent culture

The "A new digital era" project focused on recognising and promoting digital youth work and
influencers to bring positive change to the community. The project had a theoretical background
with the presentation of the DigComp model, the YOCOMO tool, and the rules for protecting GDPR.
The "Two Sides of the Migrants Story" improved youth organisations' capacity to work for/with
migrants and refugees. During the project, youth workers shared good practices, tested tools and
methods, and were equipped with practical tools and methods for youth training and activities.

the challenges of social exclusion and marginalisation of young people through sports.

workers and leaders to develop, implement and evaluate advocating activities for Islamophobia.

atmospheres to explore the cultures, knowledge and migration realities of partner countries.

evaluating the current climate and ecological situation with their consequences. Participants

society where people are not excluded because of their gender, sexual orientation, ethnic and
religious belonging or health condition. The project improved participants' creative skills by using
art, theatre plays and performances as a means of social inclusion.

welfare of young people by studying the workplace conditions. During the project, 50 participants
met with instructors, experts, anddecision-makers and created an advocacy campaign on

hazardous waste. Participants got better knowledge about eco-mafia, which are criminal
syndicates involved in illegal trafficking and disposal of industrial, commercial, and radioactive

The "Youth Engagement and Wellbeing Through Nature Connection" project offered an
experience of connecting deeply with nature through the practice of core routines. Participants
used nature connection mentoring, the art of questioning, core routines of nature connection, 8

The "Connect the Dots" project was designed with the ultimate aim of fighting discrimination,
violent radicalization, and promoting social inclusion. The project brought participants closer to
the concept of intersectionalityto present an analytical framework for understanding how aspects

related to migration in Europe. The project developed methods and resources for youth workers

and programs that address the needs of the disadvantaged youngsters.

partner and group acrobatics, juggling, diabolo, balloon modelling. During the project, participants
examined to prepare and implement a circus workshop, which they could use as a tool in their
work with youngsters.

opportunities for youngsters coming from the disadvantageous background and helped them to
take part in an international project of non-formal education. By entrepreneurial training which

youngsters to rediscover their creative confidence entrepreneurship.
The "MAD for Culture: European Youth Discovering Cultural Heritage" project brought together
youngsters to improve European citizenship, youth participation and transnational unity. The
project deepened the knowledge of European cultural heritage, trying to understand the
differences and common origins of different EU countries.
The "One Last Chance" project improved youth work quality and enhance the role of youth
workers and NGOs as social facilitators spreading European values and a culture of peace and
developed the competence of empathy as a skill linked to positive conflict management. The
project enhanced international cooperation, including trust between participants and
organisations and promoted heightened recognition of the educational value of NFE activities for

and focused on the common themes such as promoting the importance of youth opinion in the

The "Creative Arts Strategic Endorsement" project focused on creating a culture of lifelong
learning. The project encouraged young people, students and young entrepreneurs to take on
entrepreneurial innovative solutions and implement existing resources on innovative ways to
develop basic entrepreneurial potential.
The "Innovative Methods of Informal Training" project trained youth workers, teachers,
mentors and people in the youth field and introduced them to informal training methods and
strategies. The project helped participants to gain new knowledge and skills and create a network
which provides useful, practical and applicable methods for teachers, trainers and youth workers.
The "Step 1: Addictions" project aimed to reduce risks of addictions among young people and
to protect young people from harm produced by their own or their close people's addictions. The
project explored the nature of addictions, prevented the birth of addictive habits and encouraged
intercultural collaboration, sharing and learning on encountering addictions. The project raised
participants' level of social responsibility and inspired them to take action in their own
communities.
The "The Art To Destroy The Borders" project aimed to build a contact through the different
cultures with the art. The project inspired young people to destroy the stereotype about migrants.
It helped to refugees integrate into society easier.
The "Laboratory for labour integration of youth with disability" project promoted quality
employment in the field of disability and contributed to the exchange of good practices and
innovative methodologies for mutual collaboration between professionals. The project trained
volunteers with new skills and learning and encouraged their involvement in social institutions,
cultural and educational practices and new initiatives.
The "Sexual Safety Standards In Youth Work " project was devoted to ensuring sexual safety in
the context of youth work. By combining comprehensive sexual education, Wen-Do and anti-
discrimination workshops participants created and promoted a document that specifies the
standards of sexual safety in youth work.
The "Teaching Young Entrepreneurship - if not you then who?" project met youth workers and
teachers with the "Young Entrepreneurs - If not you then who" methodology and helped to the
young entrepreneurs to draft their business ideas. Key aspects of the project were built on
entrepreneurship education for soft skill development (communication skills, teamwork and
collaboration, adaptability, problem-solving, critical observation, conflict resolution) and
entrepreneurial thinking.
The "We Come as One" project increased awareness about protection and respect to human
rights among young people. The project encouraged them to be active citizens and become a part
of their community. During the project, participants gained 8 key competences based on the topic
of human rights and active citizenship and learned to spread gained skills.
The "Not Just Numbers" project reviewed the refugee crisis impact on young people in Europe
and drafted campaigns on migration, asylum, xenophobia, radicalization, Islamophobia, and
intolerance. The project used the Not Just Numbers Manual and trained disadvantaged
participants to reflect their ideas and to be active members in their social environment.
The "Involving and Embracing Mentalities" project gathered youth from a civic and academic
environment to hold sessions and panel discussions, to share national experiences in supporting
refugee youth and internally displaced students in terms of legislation, refugee camp conditions,
social activities, and academic environment, to obtain fresh crucial insights into the reasons of
wars, conflicts, migrating and post-arriving phases. The project offered a helpful guideline for
NGOs and universities on how to involve refugee students in activities.
The "Humor Matters" project provided non-formal education methods to participants and
raised awareness about how humor could affect group dynamics. The project shared experiences
about the use of humor and its effects of laughter, smile, and other side effects of humorously
adjusted attitude within the frames of the training course.
The "Cultural effects of Migration" project empowered European youth by enabling them to
raise their cultural awareness on EU Citizenship and Democracy. The project used a mix of
methods of non-formal learning and countered the emergence of the negative portrayal of
migrants and migration in media by meeting and sharing information with young refugees.
The "Kaleidoscope" project was an innovative training program for youth workers combining
elements of cultural and religious diversity training with digital media skills (photography, video,
editing, social media). The project increased the digital competence of young people and
facilitated ethics, social dialogue, intercultural/intergenerational education, and lifelong learning.
The "Online Portfolios: Use of ICT for the registration and assessment of lifelong learning"
project developed participants' digital skills and contributed capacity building of the organizations
to make them able to train the disadvantaged youngsters whom they are working with. By using
non-formal learning, the project equipped participants with skills required by the labor market.
The "Cinema Europa" project raised participants' awareness of ethics and culture. The project
was built on solving problems related to environment, culture, ethics, and social dialogue in
program countries that involved also war, conflicts, relations with neighbors, etc.
The "Social Economy Lab, Revitalizing Small Towns and Villages!" project improved the
entrepreneurial competences of youth workers. The project promoted social entrepreneurship
among youngsters within their community work, as an alternative solution to social,
environmental, and economic problems of small towns and villages.
Dissemination
ILA has an active international network among organizations dealing with international
projects. It takes part in various exchange activities. Thus, it is able to share project outputs
within its own network. Besides, it hosts volunteers and uses social media channels for effective
communication with target groups. ILA keeps 2 social media experts and a designer in an
organization for web and social media management and online dissemination of partner
projects. It actively uses web pages, 50+ Facebook groups, EPALE, Erasmus+ Project results,
SALTO, and some other national web pages as dissemination channels. ILA pays attention to
follow respected symposiums, campaigns, fairs, meetings, or workshops to deliver a speech,
show visuals, and disseminate project outputs.
ILA has an active project team formed by experts, academics and public officers who are experienced

Mehmet has worked as a project manager either in NGOs or public bodies for more than 15
years. He has taken part in various research, development, and development phases of youth,
VET, and adult education projects. Having worked at education departments in the whole of his
career, he has experience in instructional design and training delivery with non-formal methods.
Mehmet actively works on volunteering, entrepreneurship, labour migration, and rural
development.
Sefer studied Chemistry bachelor program and completed chemistry teaching afterward. He
started his career as a teacher in high school and then worked as a Planning Specialist in a global
chemical company. Sefer is an ICT expert and professionally works in software development,
video and photo shooting, and graphic design. Sefer serves as a consultant to corporate
companies and contributes to the development of their IT systems. Sefer has taken part in various
EU projects and currently. He serves as the Vice President of the ILA and leads to various
activities of the organization. Sefer actively works on volunteering, entrepreneurship, labour
migration, and rural development.
Halil is an experienced financial advisor who successfully manages specialty financial planning
projects from inception to completion. Excels at interfacing with team members at all levels to
meet and exceed organizational goals. Bayraktar is also the owner of the Mapawri Management
