How to update

MacBook, iPad, iPhone


Before you Begin: TIP: Your ALL APPLE devices need to be above 50% to be updated.
Here are basic instructions on how to update your MacBook, iPad, and iPhone:

Updating a MacBook:
1. **Connect to Wi-Fi**: Ensure your MacBook is connected to a Wi-Fi network.

2. **Click Apple Menu**: Click on the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your screen.
3. In the dropdown menu, choose "System Settings."

4. **Software Update**: In the System Settings window, click on "Software Update."


5. **Check for Updates**: Your MacBook will check for available updates. If updates are
available, they will be displayed.

6. **Update**: Click the "Update Now" button to start the update process.
7. **Follow On-Screen Instructions**: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the
update. Your MacBook may restart during the process.

Updating an iPad or iPhone:


1. **Connect to Wi-Fi**: Ensure your iPad or iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi network.

2. **Go to "Settings"**: Open the "Settings" app on your device. It looks like a gear icon.

3. **General**: Scroll down and tap on "General."


4. **Software Update**: Tap on "Software Update."

5. **Check for Updates**: Your device will check for available updates. If updates are available,
they will be displayed.

6. **Download and Install**: Tap "Download and Install" to start the update process.
7. **Enter Passcode**: If prompted, enter your device's passcode.
8. **Agree to Terms**: Review and agree to the terms and conditions.

9. **Update**: Tap "Install" to begin the update. Your device may restart during the process.

10. **Complete Installation**: Once the update is complete, your device will be up to date.

ones. This ensures that your data is safe in case anything goes wrong during the update
