Discussion of results

Measurement is one of the most important pillars in the engineering

world; it is used in every aspect. Using pacing as a method of
measuring is also important, as it gives results that can help in
measuring the unknown distance from point to point. Pacing is one of
the measuring methods used to determine the total number of paces in
a 30-meter distance tape, and with this method, we can also determine
the difference between each walk in five trials. As the result shown
in Table 1 shows, we can see the inconsistent paces that I made,
whereas Table 2 shows the consistent paces, excluding Trial 1, where
I made a higher pace compared to other paces that I did. During the
pacing of trial 1 in table 2, there is an error because the tape is
being moved because of the interruption from people walking. The
result should not be less than or greater than 1/500, but I got a
result of 0.003, which is considered good because the error is not
that big. During the computation of the result, I made a mistake in
calculating the number of paces. By checking it again, I have a
result that is good and correct.

CONCLUSION
Having an accurate measurement is fundamental to this fieldwork
activity. Also, in this activity, being honest about the result of
pacing is important; it can give a good or bad result that can affect
the idea of measurement by pace. Measurement in pacing is being used
to determine the distance between two points. be able to understand
the method of measurement and the pacing as one of the methods, and
it also helps utilize the use of pacing.
