Dear Kelly Douglas,

I am writing to you concerning the summer 2024 communication internship at Downtown Indy
Inc. I am a current first-year student at Butler University. I am majoring in Arts Administration
with a focus on Art History. Throughout my education at Butler, I have taken several courses on
communication in the professional world. I am also considering a minor in strategic
communication.

This internship would be a great fit for both parties. Through the education I have received at
Butler, I can assist in the communications department. I am an organized individual who can
provide creative material with little direction. This internship could provide me with real world
experience in the field of communications and better my writing. Through the flexible hours this
internship offers, I can balance it and school.

I believe this internship would be beneficial to both parties. I can provide a strong and
independent worker while also honing my skills to be more advanced. As an Arts Administration
major, I can help to advertise and facilitate programs in the city I am falling in love with.
