Induction Schedule 2023

Please find below a schedule of induction events aimed at ensuring you have access to
the services you are entitled to as a student at UCL, and all the information you require to
commence your Master of Laws (LLM) programme in UCL Faculty of Laws.

By the end of induction week, you should:


1. Have been welcomed to UCL and UCL Laws and be introduced to some Faculty
colleagues including academics, management and professional services.
2. Be familiar with UCL support including IT, Student Support and Wellbeing, Library
Services, IALS, and the Students Union.
3. Be familiar with sources of UCL Laws support e.g. LLM Programme Director,
Graduate Office, Careers.
4. Aware of the available non-accredited activities including the Graduate Law Society
and Student Representatives.
5. Be comfortable with using online tools and systems including UCL email, Moodle,
the UCL Timetable.
6. Have met your Academic Mentor (Personal Tutor) Group and made some
connections with other LLM students
7. Know where to go for help if you need it.

• Zoom links for live events are provided below where available, or will be added to
the New LLM Student Moodle page on the day of the event for you to access the
session.
• For sessions with pre-recorded videos, video links will also be made available on
the New LLM Student Moodle page on the day of the scheduled activity for you to

✓ If you are running to be a Student Rep, think about your manifesto to send to the Gradaute Office.
✓ Vist IALS, collect your student card if you have registered online already.
✓ Sign up for the Study Group Scheme (on Moodle) for your various modules.
✓ Start thinking more deeply about your Research Essay.
✓ Sign up for the optional Academic Legal Writing Course (on Moodle).
