Introduction

Project Context
Advances of smart technology hardware and software was not only made for the

task easier, but also it is made because it provides more clarity and time efficiency.

Development and innovation are increasing in the world. However, in work industry and

School or University some of them still using the manual process or the conventional way

rather than the "Digital" way or the computerize system process. Attendance tracking is

still one of the most pressing issues for professors or employees. Manual processing of

attendance and tracking is a lot of work and quite redundant because of the availability of

technology everywhere, you can look around and you will see everybody using their

gadgets all the time. Another reason why unpleasant conventional way of attendance

because its unreliable, one mistake will lead to undesired situation such: instructor

misplace it and could not recorded it. Reliability is important for documents that will be

used for the future like attendance documents, if the documents got burn, wet and loss the

attendance tracking will have no reliability. In late 1800s, the first employee time clock

was invented for the purpose of record of the time of employee entered and left the

factory. It’s a mechanical machine that would stamp the day and time information on

thick paper which is called “time card”. This the first time the actual hours of worked

being recorded.

Security and reliability of the process is the crucial part for the attendance

monitoring system which the software process can provide.

Purpose and Description

The study will focus on developing a Barcode-Based School Event Attendance

Monitoring System that utilizes barcode technology for efficient and accurate tracking of

student attendance during school event.

General Objectives

To create an attendance monitoring system using barcode that provides a reliable,

efficient, and easy way for students to do their attendance. Attendance Monitoring

systems can help to reduce the costs of process, such as the cost of printing of paper and

the time of staff.

Specific Objectives

The development of Attendance Monitoring System should be able to:

1. To develop features that enhance the overall attendance monitoring process,

making it more user-friendly and efficient.

2. To optimize the system to improve the efficiency of attendance data processing

and recording.

3. To design a user interface that provides an easy and transparent way for

individuals to mark their attendance

 4. To generate accurate and reliable attendance data for individuals.

5. To evaluate the system based on ISO/IEC 25010.

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS

This attendance monitoring system is focused to provide reliability, and to

provide accurate data for its user like students or school staff. The system will include

features such as event registration, barcode generation, scanning, and real-time

attendance recording. The system is not design to be on the internet because it focuses

only in event to ensure the attendees are truly attending the event. The study may

encounter limitations related to the implementation of the system, including technological

constraints and resource availability.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

Computerized system - A system that uses computers to perform tasks.

ISO/IEC 25010 - ISO/IEC 25010 is an international standard that provides

guidance on system and software quality requirements and evaluation.

Transparency - Transparency is the quality of being open and honest especially

in the way that information is presented or in the way that an organization runs.
Web-Based System - Web-Based system is a software application that is

increased and used over the internet.
