 FLOCKING ON CONTINUOUS PVC SHEETS

 The base surface to be flocked is cleaned

and made free of all dust particles .

 It is then applied with a primer (of the grade

suitable depending on the base material)
and allowed to dry for 60 seconds .

 The area not to be flocked is masked and

the area to be flocked is applied with
adhesive.

 The area applied with adhesive is then

flocked (coated with fiber of specified
length and color ) using the flocking guns
( for odd shaped items) or conveyor
machine ( for continuous sheets )and left for GUN FOR FLOCKING ON ODD

 After 24 hours of complete curing as

specified for the adhesive , the product is
vacuumed for removing all dead flock from
the coated surface and then inspected for
the even deposition and density of the
fibers .

 The product after inspection is ready to be

packed in plastic bags and ready for
dispatch.

The primary advantage of flock coating is that, it can be applied to any
surface to create a fabric (velvet finish) effect .
As such, all minute designs on the base surface can be retained. Varying
the cut length of the fibers helps in creating various types of feels on the
surface.
As these fibers are dyed after cutting it in required lengths , the same can
be done in various shades as per customer’s requirement.
As the fibers are Nylon 66 , they do not retain water or dust and as such
are very easy to clean.
As the process uses PU Adhesive and Nylon flock , the surface can be
cleaned by vacuuming or can be washed using any variety of detergent .
Due to the process of dyeing of fibers and PU adhesive being used, there
shall be complete bonding of the fibers to the base material and there
shall be no peeling off or bleeding of colors from the fibers when
subjected to sunlight or washing of the component.

Flocking on odd shaped articles is done with the
help of flocking guns . This processing is used to
flock articles like glove boxes , parcel trays , sun
visors etc . Flocking by guns is a manual process
and this is used in areas where the depth of the
components is more than 2.5 inches.

 Plain Flocked Sheet (ABS)

vacuum formed into the Vacuumed Formed Sheets
required products.
