CLEARMAX Sentinel ™

Weatherford’s CLEARMAX Sentinel belongs to the CLEARMAX suite of wellbore

Wiper cup
cleaning tools and is a debris-collection tool used during blowout preventer (BOP) jet
washing operations. The CLEARMAX Sentinel is usually run in the hole (RIH) with
other CLEARMAX wellbore cleaning tools, such as the Riser MAX-Brush™,
Riser MAX-Trap™, and CLEARMAX BOP jetting wash tool.

The tool collects any debris dislodged from BOP cavities through the action of the
CLEARMAX BOP jetting wash tool, preventing the debris from falling downhole, into
the wellbore. This process avoids completion-packer failures and completion misruns,
and it eliminates the risk of contaminating completion fluid with BOP debris. The tool’s
large sump volume allows collection of dislodged debris, such as cement, rubber, and
metal particles.

The CLEARMAX Sentinel is RIH as part of a BOP jetting-run string. The tool is
placed in the casing string below the BOP, and all the debris washed from the BOP is
collected in the screened collection sump.
