At the age of 7, which was in a school-age stage, she started studying at Dimaluna
Elementary School as a Grade 1 student. In Elementary, she remembers that she walked a
mile away from her home to school. She plays a lot outside their house with her siblings,
cousins, and friends. She was already trained to do household chores with her siblings at
that time to help their mother do the household chores. She stated that when she was in
Grade 4, she could already cook rice and was able to wash the dishes alone. She

In the adolescence stage, she was still confused about which career path she would
take. She dreams of becoming a teacher at that time. However, she was not given a
chance to go to 4th-year college as her sibling brought her to Bukidnon. At that time, she
felt so sad that she couldn't continue to study like with her friends. She felt inferior but never
rebelled against her parent's choice. At 19, even though she didn't finish College, she was
able to teach children at Daycare Center in Bukidnon.

In the young adulthood stage, she started to find a job so she could support her
family. When she was married, she started to go to Bukid to help her husband in their
Copras. At the age of 26, she was married to Godofredo P. Marcera on April 22, 1979. She
and her husband owned Copras and Charcoal. In 1979, a month after they got married, she
got pregnant with her first child. With just a year and a month gap, she was then pregnant
with her second child in 1980. In 1983, she got pregnant with her third child. In 1991, they
