Netflix is one of the most popular media and video streaming platforms. They have over 8000
movies or TV shows available on their platform, as of mid-2021, they have over 200M
Subscribers globally. This tabular dataset consists of listings of all the movies and TV shows
available on Netflix, along with details such as - cast, directors, ratings, release year, duration,
etc.

What you need to do

Let’s understand how Netflix is positioned in the market by analysing various trends using
different charts and graphs.

Create visuals for the following questions and create 2 dashboards. Each dashboard can
contain no more than 6 visuals. Pick the visuals that you think is providing good insights about
the dataset. (For few of the questions, I have mentioned the charts to be used explicitly. For questions where
no chart names are mentioned, please identify the best suitable chart and use them)

Finally create a story and add both dashboards into the story and share your overall findings

 Identify at least 3 potential KPI’s. More than 3 is also fine if it makes sense as KPI
 Display the percentage of tv shows and genres
 Display the yearly trend of tv shows and movies
 Create a word map on movie titles
 Represent the movies by countries using maps
 Display top 10 movie genres using sets
 Display top 10 genres on TV shows using sets
 Top 10 countries by movies and TV shows using stacked bar chart, display labels in
percentage
 Top 10 movie directors from India with most content and enable parameters for the
users to filter dynamically
 Top 5 states in India with most content
 Distribution of duration of movies using Histogram
 Distribution of movies and tv shows using scatter plot
 Tree map on top 5 countries and its states by no of releases
 Create a heat map with the best suitable dimensions and measures
 create a chart/graph on your own that gives insights on Ratings

Things to note while creating dashboards

 Add Netflix logo
 Apply necessary filters and make it applicable across all visuals
 Apply action URL wherever applicable
 Apply border, inner & outer padding
