2. Justify whether Political Science is a “science” or “not a science”.

In my opinion Political Science is a science, because we need to study it systematically

to gain concrete knowledge on how the society and government runs. And also there are
many political scientist who has tests and improves explanations, ideas, theories, and rules.
In short they are conducting a lot of research step by step to gain concrete evidence for their
objectives.

3. Identify the Scope of Political Science applicable to the following:

c. Who will be the next President of the Philippines, a man or a woman? Gender

4. Do you think studying Political Science will help you to become a better citizen of the

Philippines? Justify your answer.

To become a better citizen of our beloved country we need to study Political
Science, because there are many knowledge we can accumulate to become a
knowledgeable citizen of our country. Political Science gives us opportunities to know
about our rights and how to use it wisely, so we can able to fight for our sake. And also
studying Political Science will help us to become a knowledgeable and responsible citizen
of our country, by knowing our obligations and duties. And also we will be able to deal
with social and economic problems and other matters of public and private concerns.
Political Science has a great advantage for us if we study it, we can discover the principles
that should be adhered to in public affairs and to study the operations if the government.

5. What method of political science is applicable to the present situation of the country.
Give examples to back up your argument.

For me Mathematical Method is the best way for now, because we need to conduct a
lot of good research to gain applicable solution for our present situation of our country right
now. And also this method will help us to gain informative data which can be helpful to our
government, so they can decide wisely on how they are response to our situation right now.

6. Among the different tasks of political thinkers, which do you think is true in the Philippine
setting? Give examples to back up your argument.

I think Conduct Political research is the best way for our present setting, because
we need to conduct a lot of good research to gather best solution to our present setting.
And also this method can help us to find applicable solution to our setting right now.

7. Do you know someone who graduated in Political Science course? Describe him/her
educational attainment and career. If none, try to connect in the internet and search
someone who graduated in the course Political Science and describe him/her educational
attainment and career. Evaluate their career if related to political science or not.

For me Jesse Robredo was the best politician of all time, because there are many good
things he did when he was alive. So let’s talk about all inspiring things he did during his time.
Jesse Robredo had two degrees which is Master of Public Administration from Harvard
University and Master’s in Business Administration. Although he did not take Political
Science, but for me this is not became a hindrance for him to do a lot of beautiful things in
our society. So during his time as mayor, Robredo transformed his sleepy city which is Naga in
Bicol into a lively economic hub of Bicol, mainly because he emphasized good governance
along with the participation of both the private and public sector. Due to his talent, he was
appointed as Secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government in 2010 by
President Benigno Aquino. However, the country never got to experience the full extent of
his administrative wizardry due to his untimely death in 2012 after his plane crashed near in
Masbate.
