IV. PROCEDURES

A. Introduction What I need to know?

Following the class routine and quick review of the previous
lesson (History and Development of Origami), learners will be
directed to the next Origami lesson – Planning a Design and
Pattern for Origami.

*Interactive participation using the Google Jamboard

Quick Fil in the blanks (Literacy)

Plan a d_______ and p_______ for an Origami craft

▪ D_______ the design to be made.
▪ S_______ the design.

Select m_______ in making an Origami craft.

▪ I_______ materials in making an Origami craft.

(Answers: design, pattern, Discuss, Sketch, materials, Identify)

What’s New
Learners will type in their answers in
the Google Meet Chat Box
for this activity. This is the “hook” to
the lesson.

B. Development What I know?

History of Origami
Questions learners will answer individually after the class:
▪ Have you done an Origami
before? What kind is it?
▪ Did you follow a design
or you made your own?
▪ Why did you think of
doing that design? Tell us a
little story about it.

What’s in!
Teacher presents the lesson via an open discussion. The lesson
will be supported by video clips for in-depth understanding.
Teacher will field in questions during the discussion which
learners can either type in the Chat Box or answer by unmuting
their microphones.

What Is It?
Learners will be asked to
execute a design based
directly on
the lesson discussed.

C. Engagement What’s more?

Answer the following questions in your notebook:

1.What is Origami?
2. What is the importance of origami
making?

What I Can Do?

Learners will connect their learning
using this activity.
Meaningful engagement is expected
for this learning task.

SCORING RUBRIC (see Development phase of plan)

D. Assimilation What can I show you?

Students will answer the quiz prepared by the teacher.
This is where learners will execute their design in the
Development phase using the materials they have at home.
(AP & ESP Integration)

SCORING RUBRIC (see

Development phase of plan)

V. REFLECTION Learners will make a reflective summary of their takeaways on the lesson with the
following questions:

• What did you understand about Origami planning and designing (Ano ang
pagkakaunawa mo tungkol sa pagpaplano at disenyo ng Origami?)

• What do you realize about the lesson? (Ano ang napagtanto mo tungkol sa
leksyon?)

• If you were a paper, what Origami design would you like to be made into, and
why? (Kung ikaw ay isang papel, anong disenyo ng Origami ang gusto mong gawin
ka, at bakit?)

● The learners, in their notebook, journal or portfolio will write their personal
insights about the lesson using the prompts below.
