Stylized Leaf Rubbing

Materials: clipboard &paper, pencil, fine black point pen, eraser, colored pencils

Instructions:
1. Find a leaf from a tree and place it on your clipboard in the center. Put a piece
of paper over it.
2. Use a dull pencil to make a leaf rubbing by lightly shading over the paper where
the leaf is. Keep on shading until your leaf fully appears, including all the veins.
This might take some trial and error and multiple attempts to get it right.
3. Use a fine black point pen to carefully trace the leaf, including every little vein!
Once your leaf is fully outlined, give the tracing a few moments to dry.
4. Use an eraser to erase ALL of the pencil shading.
5. Now you’re ready to color in your leaf using your choice of colors just how you
would in a coloring book. Fill in every space with a color (or pattern) of your
choice!
