Instructions:

1. I want you to visit these police stations... one team for every police station.

2. Look for the Chief of the Station CADU... get his/her name.

3. Ask about the duties and functions of the CADU.

4. Be ready to render group report on the next meeting.

 Good afternoon/Good Evening for each and everyone of us. Today, we are about to give a
briefly explanation, information about the duties and functions of the CADU?

Police Station Assigned: Station 6

But before that, we wanted to share our preparation on how to get there, since we had a conflict to our
schedule and, the availabiliy of one of our members Jay-Ar Milagrosa, because during the planning of
our mission to conduct an interview on the said police station, formerly He is in Sta. Cruz, Zambales. In
spite of that, he was able to participate through video-call, to help us while gathering information.

Are you ready guysss???... 😊

 Now!! What is exactly really means when we say CADU? … Since we are here at the beginning,
the first things that comes to our mind as a group, that CADU means, “Control and Discipline
Unit”, but as we discovered also taught us by the Chief of the station at Station 6, by Police
Major Exodus C. Rodriguez, Officer-In-Charge, located at V727+M92, IloIlo St, Olongapo, 2200
Zambales. That CADU means “Community Affairs and Development Unit”, although there is a
same meaning, and thoughts, hence, he is stated us right. He also added, that he was assigned
in the very first week of September 2022, as in the position.

Are there any questions guys??.... If none, let’s proceed

 As we enter to the police station, we are praying and hoping that we caught up the Chief in act
to speed up the interview, and we were get tired and thirsty during that time, because that time
was about 12:20 in the afternoon, such prior to answer regarding about the real purpose of our
conduction. Additionally, we also prepared SUB-QUESTION for the Chief to know more about his
experiences, and knowledge about: and are sub-questions are listed below;
1. How would you describe your managements style?
2. How long have you worked as a Police Officer?
3. Have you held leadership position in the past?
4. Which of your previous experiences has prepared you most for this role?
5. Which precinct have you most recently worked at?
6. What are the typical responsibilities of a police chief?
 If you wanted to know that, and you are interested to his answer to that question, since it was a
very interesting to know, because he was a very good leader of his past career. All of his
answered, can be found at this link;

Now! The very common question wherein complying those Chief of Police is “What are the
duties and functions of the Community Affairs and Development Unit?”.

In municipal, the police officer called as Chief of Police, but here in Olongapo City, the other
term of that as a head is Station Commander, and mobile forces, called as Team Leader said by Exodus
C. Rodriguez, he stated that during the conduction of interview. He has also circled the entire police
station here at Olongapo City, except the police station 4.

Did you learn something guys??

 “What are the duties and functions of the Community Affairs and Development Unit?”.

Generally, E. Rodriguez that said as a Station Commander, he always needs to supervised the
operational and then especially those admin activities of the police station. He simply said as the
operational activities like, conducting a checkpoint, oplan sita, conducting an illegal drug
operation, these are the prior activities, while the admin activities are about to Community
Affairs and Development Unit (CADU), these activities composed of engagement about the
community related, and the Station Commander was the prior person to lead and supervised
those activities. Secondly, He was the one to supervised the implementation of those tasks
coming from the headquarters.

Formerly, He said that the police have a different section related to the duties and
function of the CADU, and these are the following;

 ADMIN
 INTEL
 OPERATION
 SUPPLY
 CADU - Community Affairs and Development Unit
 FINANCE
 INVESTIGATION

These are the section of the Police, since the CADU is one of the parts of the section of the police.
Basically, they are the one who engage in the activities of the community, anything related to the
community, example, “Outreach Program”, and the CADU section are being in act on that program.
Additionally, the CADU is the visual-face of the PNP.

Is it clear and understandable guys???.... we are about to finish.

 And finally, as we end up the interview, and gathering information about the question. We
are about to hear the ‘Motivational Advice”, coming from him, for us and everyone. To
continue pursuing our goals in our lives.

 THANK YOU EVERYONE!! I hope that there something learns and excrete in our mind that
there are many sections of the police not only in the (CADU), but also to the whole sacrifices
of each and everyone. “PADAYON”, God Bless us All.

 Thank You Block B (2-B), and to our fellow classmates for your active responses. Now, May I
call on Ms. Maryann Sadaba our professor for this Subject “Law Enforcement Organization
and Administration”, to give us further instructions, before dismissing the class. Have A
great Evening guys!
