Social Work Review is aiming to be a meeting place for ideas, a mean of dissemination of
Quick Menu researches, good practices and experiences in the field of social work. Articles from all areas
of social work are welcomed. There will be published innovative articles, researches, and

Issue 1/2024, edited by Prof. Cosmin Goian, PhD, and Lecturer Loredana Marcela Trancă,
PhD, from the Social Work Departament of the West University of Timișoara, provides a space to present the results of
research and articles focused on the topic: Social work, its role, its practices, its future. Manuscripts must be sent
by e-mail by 15 November 2023 in a word format, to the two editors: cosmin.goian@e-uvt.ro & loredana.tranca@e-
uvt.ro. Articles are subject to a double-blind peer review process. The editorial team makes the first selection of articles,
before sending the articles to at least 2 reviewers. Articles are accepted on the basis of adequacy, clarity, sound
methodology and usefulness for social practice, research and education.
The issue 2/2024 is coordinated by lecturers Georgiana Rentea and Anca Mihai from the Faculty of Sociology and
Social Work, University of Bucharest. The themes of this issue are: Social work in uncertain times, such as social
work before and during the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and earthquake in Turkey and Syria, events which directly or
indirectly impacted the profession. Thus, articles focusing on disasters, digitalization, sustainable practice, vulnerability,
and resilience are most welcomed. All contributions should be submitted by email to both editors at:
georgiana.rentea@sas.unibuc.ro and anca.m@sas.unibuc.ro.
Submission deadline: 3rd of December 2023.
Issue 3/2024 is dedicated to social work in criminal justice. In this issue, we are expecting articles about the activities
of social workers in prisons, probation services, youth delinquency offices, etc. Topics can range from involuntary client
subjects, to working methods, to organizations, and even normative frameworks. The issue will be coordinated by
professor Ioan Durnescu (ioan.durnescu@unibuc.ro) in partnership with associate lector Gabriel Oancea
(gabriel.oancea@unibuc.ro). Papers for this special issue could be submitted by March 1, 2024.

Issue 4/2024 emphasize The challenges and opportunities encountered on a daily basis by the social workers
Review is accredited B+ by CNCSIS
and how their solutions can be found in the social work education and research. The articles will be sent by
email to the editorial committee: Lect. univ. dr. Daniela Gaba (daniela.gaba@unibuc.ro) and Lect. univ. dr. Mihaela Popa
(mihaela.popa@unibuc.ro) until June, 1st, 2024.

Issue 1/2025, edited by Prof. Mihaela Tomita, PhD, and Assistant professor Roxana Ungureanu, PhD, from the Social
Work Department of the West University of Timisoara, provides a space to present the results of research and articles
focused on the topic: The resilience of vulnerable groups. The concept of resilience is a popular term in all
disciplines, especially with regard of vulnerable groups. Manuscripts must be sent by e-mail by 1st of September 2024 in
a word format, to the two editors: mihaela.tomita@e-uvt.ro and roxana.ungureanu@e-uvt.ro. Estimated publication date
is March 2025.

Issue 2/2025, dedicated to the topic of Social work in a superdiverse society, is edited by by Professor Cosmin
Goian, PhD, Lecturer Loredana Marcela Trancă, PhD and Junior lecturer Florina Luiza Vlaicu, Phd, from the Social Work
Departament of the West University of Timișoara. Manuscripts must be sent by e-mail by 8 January 2025 in a word
format, to the three editors: cosmin.goian@e-uvt.ro, loredana.tranca@e-uvt.ro & florina.vlaicu@e-uvt.ro.

The issue 3/2025 - "Art and social work. The role of stories in human behaviour remodelling" - is coordinated
by Mihaela Popa and Rebeca Cojocaru from Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, University of Bucharest. This issue
proposes studies and research about the influence of art in the social worker daily activities and also in the educational
process, emphasizing the power of the words when dealing with vulnerable human beings.The articles will be sent
at mihaela.popa@unibuc.ro and cojocarurebeca7@gmail.com, until 15 March 2025.
