Project Description

In this group project, students will work in teams to create a simple database using Microsoft Access.
The students will learn and apply basic concepts of database design, data entry, querying, and form
creation using Access. Additionally, each group will create a presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint
to showcase their project.

Project Components and Grading:

Microsoft Access Component (Total: 25 Marks)


Task A (10 Marks):
Create a database with at least 3 tables, then add relationships between those tables. Ensure that the
primary keys are correctly added and used in those relationships.

Task B (5 Marks):
Create a variety of queries that can fetch data efficiently. Make sure that those queries include
criteria to retrieve a specific set of data.

Task C (5 Marks):
Create different forms for your tables. Then ensure that those forms are user-friendly for data entry.

Task D (5 Marks):
Create reports for presenting the information in your tables. The reports should be clearly
formatted, making data easily readable.

Microsoft PowerPoint Component (Total: 15 Marks)


Task E (3 Marks):
Make a PowerPoint file to present the data in clear, concise manner using chart or graphs where
appropriate. Then provide insightful analysis of data.

Task F (3 Marks)
Clearly explain how the feature of the Access database aid in your data management.

Task G (4 Marks)
Use appropriate interactive elements like animation and transitions to enhance the presentation.

Task H (5 Marks)
Discuss your project and answer the questions given by the lecturer during the class.
