To check if the mill superintendent really does need new equipment, the mining engineer
takes a trip to the mill. He has never really understood the intricacies of this mill and he
knows the mill super is smarter than he is and has been around a lot longer. They banter
good-naturedly for a while. They walk around the equipment which all seems unrusted
and humming. The mining engineers that I write of here, may have studied, like most
engineers, basic maths, physics, chemistry, and calculus. Then a few courses in basic
mining theory: what makes an underground mine; the essence of open pits; basic blasting
theory; and maybe a bit of finance and accounting. Maybe a short course on
environmental studies, social policy, sustainable propaganda, and community relations.

Untuk memeriksa apakah pengawas pabrik benar-benar membutuhkan peralatan baru,

insinyur pertambangan melakukan perjalanan ke pabrik. Dia tidak pernah benar-benar
memahami seluk-beluk pabrik ini dan dia tahu pabrik super lebih pintar dari dia dan telah
ada lebih lama. Mereka bercanda dengan baik untuk sementara waktu. Mereka berjalan di
sekitar peralatan yang semuanya tampak tidak berkarat dan bersenandung. Insinyur
pertambangan yang saya tulis di sini, mungkin pernah belajar, seperti kebanyakan
insinyur, matematika dasar, fisika, kimia, dan kalkulus. Kemudian beberapa kursus dalam
teori pertambangan dasar: apa yang membuat tambang bawah tanah; inti dari lubang
terbuka; teori dasar peledakan; dan mungkin sedikit keuangan dan akuntansi. Mungkin
kursus singkat tentang studi lingkungan, kebijakan sosial, propaganda berkelanjutan, dan

Answer:

1. A person which may manage any phase of mining operations;

2. The responsibility of a miner is to oversee the entire mining process, manage
workers, the costs required for the mining activity, and other things needed to
make the mining activity successful.
3. The problem faced by mining engineers today is the issue of the price of minerals
that will be sold to consumers or exported abroad.
4. The mining engineers have studied like most engineers, basic maths, physics,
chemistry, and calculus. Then a few courses in basic mining theory: what makes
an underground mine; the essence of open pits; basic blasting theory; and maybe
a bit of finance and accounting. Maybe a short course on environmental studies,
social policy, sustainable propaganda, and community relations.
5. Mining and geological engineers typically do the following:
a) Design open-pit and underground mines;
b) Supervise the construction of mine shafts and tunnels;
c) Devise methods for transporting minerals to processing plants;
d) Prepare technical reports for miners, engineers, and managers;
e) Monitor mine production to assess the effectiveness of operations;
f) Provide solutions to problems related to land reclamation, water and air
pollution, and sustainability;
g) Ensure that mines operate in safe and environmentally sound ways.
Geological engineers search for mineral deposits and evaluate possible sites.
