Practice exercise: Create revisions

In this exercise, you will create revisions and a
revision cloud assigned to the correct revision.
You will also control the revisions that appear in
the titleblock for a sheet.

• Control the revisions that appear in the
titleblock.

1. Open the exercise file revisions.rvt.

2. In the View tab, Sheet Composition
panel, click Revisions to open the
Sheet Issues/Revisions dialog.

3. In the Sheet Issues/Revisions dialog,

add a new revision. Then change the
Description so that the first one is
Issued for Construction and the
second one is Addendum 1. Also
change the Show option for row 1 to
None. Click OK to close the dialog.

4. In the GROUND FLOOR – Overall view,
create a revision cloud around ENTRY
1508.

5. Make sure the revision cloud is

assigned to Addendum 1.

6. Use the Tag by Category tool to tag the
revision cloud.

7. In Properties palette for sheet A100 –

GROUND FLOOR – OVERALL PLAN, click
Edit next to Revisions on Sheet.

8. In the Revisions on Sheet dialog, select
the Shown in Revision Schedule
checkbox for Issued for Construction.
Click OK to close the dialog.
