"Don't open your Christmas presents, you have to wait until Daddy gets home to open

them together." The mother gently put down the last course of dinner, her tone filled with
anticipation.
"Okay Mom, when will daddy be back?" As soon as the child finished talking, a loud
explosion came from outside, as deafening as the heavens. The mother rushed to the
window, and the focal point of her vision was a police badge with a number engraved on
it, lying quietly in the stillness of the night.
On an October afternoon, Nancy, a college student, suddenly notices that a tree in her
backyard has been knocked down by a gust of wind. She quickly calls the maintenance
company, which sends a surveyor named Richard, when he first meets Nancy, he
instantly falls in love with the woman's gentleness and charm as if in a dream.
"Hello, the tree in my backyard is blown down by the wind, why don't you see what you
can do about it," Nancy said to Richard who had just gotten out of his car.
Richard was a little rattled, "No problem ma'am, I'll go check it out for you right away."
As a young man, he hadn't experienced too many emotional ups and downs. And this
time, he fell into a deep affection for a girl for the third time.
"Erm ...... Miss, the condition of your backyard may require my colleagues and I to work
together, and it may take roughly a month before it gets repaired." Richard said with
some urgency, "Because of the tree's collapse, it caused the fence and other facilities to
be damaged as well."
Nancy was not overly concerned, and she acquiesced to the task with a very kind thank
you to Richard. As time went on, Richard spent the past month helping Nancy repair the
yard. On a day in November when the sky was drizzling and the world was a picture-
perfect gray, creating a suffocating atmosphere. Nancy often bought coffee and lunch for
Richard as an appreciation for the hard work done.
"Miss, the trouble in your backyard has been completely repaired, but I still have a small
personal matter I want to discuss with you ......" Richard was wearing a stylish white
sweater today, with a pair of white jeans underneath, which made him look extra
handsome as if he was about to participate in an important ceremony.
"Okay." Nancy had gradually let go of her guard against Richard after a month together.
Now, their relationship was no longer just employer-employee, but more like old friends
who had known each other for years.
At this time, Richard and Nancy walked into the living room. Richard slowly moved to
the window and closed the shutters gently.
"When I first met you, I was attracted to you. Through the past month, I've gotten to
know you better and I've become more interested in you. So I was wondering if I could
take our relationship a step further, I like you, Nancy!" His voice grew louder and louder,
almost shouting her name. With an expectant look on his face, he gazed at Nancy as if
waiting for her response.

"Ah ......, I feel extremely honoured that you like me, but I think that we spend only a
minority of time together, and, I think that we may not be the most suitable couple."
Nancy seemed embarrassed as she made vague euphemisms.
"You really won't give me a chance?" Richard's mood grew more and more frustrated at
these words, and a flame of anger flared up in him.
"I'm sorry, Richard ...... "
Just then, Richard suddenly grabbed a metal artifact in the living room and slammed it
towards Nancy. Feeling extreme fear, she screams and flees to the bedroom. Realizing
that he is at the end of his rope, Richard walks to the kitchen, grabs a knife, and rushes to
the bedroom. As he kicks the bedroom door open and rushes in, Nancy's screams subside,
leaving only Richard's choked sobs and the sharp sound of the knife penetrating his skin
again and again.
After this, Richard seemed to descend into madness, giggling at times, frantic at others,
and crying out in pain. However, he didn't seem to realize what he had done, only that he
felt his confession had been defeated. So, he decided to seek the help of a psychiatrist to
find comfort and advice. So, he chose to see Dr. Steven.
"Doctor, it really bothers me why I like her so much and she is so kind and treats me very
well. However, she seems to be full of antipathy towards me. It makes me feel incredibly
desperate and frustrated. What am I going to do?" Richard covered his head and sobbed
uncontrollably as he asked Steven for help.
In this moment of psychological breakdown, Richard's heart felt as if it had been pierced
repeatedly by a sharp knife as he struggled with his emotions in the abyss, and Dr. Steven
was his last straw.

"Why do you think she accepted you, and why did she reject you, was it because of you
or because of her, and why did you choose her and why didn't she choose you? So these
are all questions that should be answered by you."
The doctor's voice was like a cool blade dissecting Richard's heart.
"I...I don't know..." Richard felt more and more tormented inside, the pain seemed to tear
him apart, "So do you think that my failure is because of myself? Is it because I'm too
poor? ......"
The doctor responded tersely, "I didn't say it was because of that, but you might want to
discover some new goals and look for some...er...alternatives."
"I see, Doctor...thank you, I'll change..." Richard said, and he hurried off like a gust of
wind.
It was as if he had comprehended something, and as if he was wandering in a fog, but all
he could be sure of was that he had found his new purpose.
Each week thereafter, Richard returned as scheduled to speak with Dr. Steven, his mind
gradually restored, but seemingly with an extra dash of unusual madness.

"Stone Village there is a major case, there are six headless female bodies that have been
found by the police, through the modus operandi of the crime police judged to be the
same person to committed the crime, due to the lack of head and other information, the
police cannot determine the identity of the deceased information ...... "
On a certain day in December, this shocking news suddenly came to the news station.
The officer in charge of the case is Alex, who has been feeling more and more anxious
lately because the police have come up empty-handed in this case, as if the killer is an
experienced, sophisticated and cunning criminal.

So, Alex walks straight into Steven's clinic. "Hey old friend, I'm here to see you, I've
been really busy lately, did you see that case on the news, it's exactly what I'm in charge
of right now, this killer is giving me a headache, and you're the only one here who can
give me a peaceful night's sleep."
"Hey, there you are, I saw that case, it was very scary and frightening. Come on, lie down
on the couch and relax."
"You know what, this killer was sick, he cut off the head of every girl, but, only one body
had a lot of stab wounds, and even more than thirty stab wounds were inserted in the
body. The other bodies didn't have many wounds."
"Ah, that's right... Based on the analysis I know, this person should be a psychopath, and
he most likely has a fetish for collecting, since he cut off every head, and maybe he just
wanted to hide the evidence as well."
"Here's the thing, all of our coworkers think that he's psychopathic and that the time of
each accident is very close to each other, basically every week a body turns up. It's very
strange ...... "
One thing that has to be mentioned is Steven and Alex's relationship, they have known
each other since they were very young, but Alex was always superior to Steven. Whether
it was her academic performance as a student, her job when she grew up, or even Alex's
girlfriend was better than Steven's. Despite this, Alex didn't notice Steven's jealousy or
even hatred towards him.
By the time Alex left, Steven was deep in thought, and he suddenly sensed that the
incident was most likely related to Richard, as Steven was impressed that Richard came
to him every week and confided in him about his emotional side. He had a plan in mind if
these cases were being perpetrated by Richard.

Two weeks before Christmas, Richard stepped into Steven's clinic again.
"Doctor, I've decided that I should go somewhere else, I don't see a future for our little
town, not only because of my feelings but also because of my job."
"That's very good Richard. I think you made a very good decision, a bigger city will be
better for you."
"Yes doctor, so I think I'm a little anxious right now and need to relax, can you help me?"

"Of course, it would be an honour to serve you."

He finished and began the hypnosis. But unlike in the past, this time the hypnosis was no
longer just soothing, it was a show of mind control. Steven delved right into asking
questions about the murders. Rightfully so, he gets the full secret.
Meanwhile, in a suburban wooded area, the police discover the body of another headless
woman. However, the difference this time is that perhaps due to the killer's carelessness,
the woman's ID is found in the pocket of the corpse's clothes. The police tracked her
movements accordingly, eventually pinpointing the clue to a suburban house.
On the special day of Christmas, the police decided to launch an operation after careful
planning. The police attach great importance to this operation, using a large number of
police officers, and as the head of the operation, Alex is naturally the first person. When
the whole house searched in vain, Alex's eyes focused on the basement. Carefully
opening the door to the basement, the police officers almost even stopped breathing, and
all their attention was focused on Alex's movements.
Alex slowly walks down the stairs and is presented with a dark room with a bloodstained
surgical bed in the center, some of the blood has dried and some is still fresh. As he gazed
across the room, there were tables filled with various surgical tools, each with blood
remaining on them, and not only on the tables, but also on the floor, walls, and even the
ceiling. The scene was uncomfortable for Alex, but as an experienced police officer, he
was long used to it.

As he slowly shifted his gaze to the other wall, where two huge refrigerators stood.
Holding the gun in his hand, he slowly walked over to them. The moment he opened the
refrigerator, it almost made him vomit. He took a step backward in fear, and even this
officer, who had been through countless scenes, felt weak in the knees.
There were eight female heads on display in the refrigerator, each one carefully handled
and cleaned up to look as if they were still alive. However, the one thing they all had in
common was that they looked similar as if they were biological sisters.
Just as Alex was struggling internally, there was a sudden rush of singing all around him,
the very melody of Merry Christmas. As the music faded, Alex felt even more confused,
but what he was waiting for was not the appearance of the murderer, but a huge
explosion, "Boom", the whole house was almost reduced to nothing. The police officers
waiting outside and the forensic scientist searching the house both suffer serious injuries.
At that moment, Richard was sitting on the train when a man playing the saxophone
started to play the tune of Merry Christmas, and a smile appeared on Richard's face.
Meanwhile, on the top floor of a hotel not far from the explosion, Dr. Steven, sitting on
the balcony, puts down his binoculars, picks up his glass of wine, and toasts the air with a
smile on his face.
