Manual Setup and Configuration of FileZilla

If you are not connected to the FTI network, need to assist a client with installation, or have a prior
installation of FileZilla please follow these steps to setup and configure FileZilla. You can obtain the
non-FTI configured FileZilla client from here:

1. After installation double-click the FileZilla icon to open the application.

2. Click the Open the Site Manage button in the upper left corner of the application

3. Click the New Site button

4. Enter FTI or similar appropriate name as the name of the new site and press Enter.
5. On the General tab enter the following information

a. For the Host field enter the appropriate address.


- ShareNA.FTIConsulting.com
- ShareNA.CompassLexecon.com
- ShareEU.FTIConsulting.com
- ShareEU.CompassLexecon.com

b. In the Port field enter: 22


c. Click the drop down arrow next to Protocol and choose sFTP.
d. Click the drop down arrow next to Logon Type and choose Normal.
e. Enter your email address for the User name field and the corresponding password.
f. Click Connect.

g. Check the Always trust this host box and click OK.
6. To upload a file to the SFTP, browse to the location of the file you wish to upload in the left pane of
FileZilla. Right-click on the file and choose Upload. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the file from
the left pane to the right pane.

7. To download a file from the SFTP, browse to the location you wish to store the file in the left pane of
FileZilla. Right-click the file you wish to download in the right pane and choose Download.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop the file from the right pane to the left pane.

8. To create a new subdirectory on the SFTP, right click in the right pane of FileZilla and choose
Create directory from the menu that appears.
9. Provide a name for the new directory and click OK

10. To disconnect your SFTP session, click the Disconnect button at the top of the FileZilla window
