Status of works –

a- The company and the establishment: what is the difference?


An establishment can be a factory, a commercial agency, a laboratory, a warehouse, etc. … which
do not constitute companies in themselves but a simple technical unit. The company brings
together these establishments and it is up to the company and all of these establishments.

b- Business and administrations: what is the difference?


The company carries out market production, public administrations and private administrations
produce non-market services.
c- The company office and public establishment of a commercial nature
The company produces production to sell it on a market. The office and public such as EDF
(electricity and gas
France) and Sonelgaz (electricity and gas in Algeria) are public companies, they produce of goods
or services sold even if this activity is not always for profit.

SECTION 2: THE COMPANY’S PRODUCTS


The companies that we have just defined are diverse, their purpose is linked to their activities
which consist of the production of goods and services and their marketing. But what are these
products and these activities? How can we classify them?

1- Definition
A product (goods or service) can be defined as a set of user benefits: some are subjective,
perceptual, psychological. While others are objective, tangible or physical.
The purpose of products and services is to satisfy the needs of consumers. They can take several
forms depending on their characteristics as will be shown.

2- Classification of the company's products and services


According to the wear, according to the degree or time of destruction and according to the use
that we can classify the products and services of the company we will first give an overview of the
classification from a organization chart and we will then proceed to a precise definition of each
type.
