Greetings from the Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM II).

We are pleased to share with you the ongoing call for applications of the UP
President Edgardo J. Angara (UPPEJA) Fellowship, in partnership with EDCOM II. The
UPPEJA Fellowship was established in 2008 in honor of Senator Edgardo J. Angara
in order “to promote high-level policy discussions and research” which address
national development goals and initiatives. For this call, the research areas will focus
on EDCOM II’s priorities in governance and finance, and higher education.

The UPPEJA Fellowship is open to faculty members, researchers, and scholars based
in the Philippines or abroad who have distinguished themselves in policy research.
The fellowship shall be for one year and shall provide a monetary award of
P500,000. The deadline for applications is on 7 July 2023.

In line with this, we would like to request for your help in disseminating the call to
your member schools and higher education institutions so that qualified scholars
could apply. Interested applicants should send to highereducation@up.edu.ph
their 1) cover letter, 2) curriculum vitae (CV), and 3) 350-500-word extended
abstract of their proposed paper.
