Re: Difference - EDC15VM+, EDC15V, EDC15P

Hi guys, noob question. What is the difference from EDC15 ECU's? EDC15VM+, EDC15P, EDC15V not sure if there is more than that. Are these ECU's

interchangeable? Can you put a file from a EDC15VM+ on a EDC15P?

All those ECUs are for different injection systems.

EDC15C - common rail

EDC15M - VP44 PSG5 injection pump

EDC15P - unit injectors (PD)

EDC15V - VP37 injection pump

yes pinaut is ok
for flash -mpps,galletto,kess.....

VAG EDC15 PIN-OUT
BASIC CONNECTION - PINOUT FOR BOSCH EDC15 121-pin ECU's USED FOR VAG VEHICLES:

GND ◼ PIN 4 and 5

VCC ◼ PIN 2 and 37

K-LINE ◼ PIN 16

CAN-H ◼ PIN 7 or 82

CAN-L ◼ PIN 6 or 83
BASIC CONNECTION - PINOUT FOR BOSCH EDC15 80-pin ECU's USED FOR VAG VEHICLES:

GND ◼ PIN 1

VCC (30) ◼ PIN 47

VCC (15) ◼ PIN 28

K(W)-LINE ◼ PIN 45
READING PIN-CODE OF VAG EDC15 ECU
Pin code of VAG EDC15 (121-pin) ecu with 24C04 eeprom is written in address 0x12E, 0x12F and repeated in 0x160, 0x161. Data
are written in HEX inversely. For example, at the screenshot below: 0x12E 0x12F is E0 06, inversely 06 E0. Pin-code is 06E0 HEX =
1760 (01760).
BYPASS IMMOBILISER FOR VAG EDC15 ECU's
Disabling immo for EDC15 ecu is possible with Immo Emulator, editing the software of ecu or simple editing content of the eeprom.
For immo off with editing content of the eeprom, necessary to rewrite following addresses:

◼ EDC15 ECU with 24C04:

$1B0 = 60
$1CE = 60

◼ EDC15 ECU with 24C02:

$65 = 60
$8B = 60

hello,

the injector from afn have 0,205mm

the nozles will bring about good +15-20 Hp i think

i have done this a long time ago on the beetle of my girlfriend, car was like a rocket

DSLA150P764 0,216mm AHY

DSLA150P502 0,212mm AEL
DSLA150P520 0,205mm AFN, AHF
DSLA150P1019 0,202mm
DSLA150P357 0,184mm 1Z
DSLA150P873 0,179mm
DSLA150P706 0,170mm ALH
DSLA150P442 0,170mm
DSLA150P280 0,178mm

Hello MIKY,
i changes nozzles to injectors

with 0,205, car rocket

first time i set injectors with Asv pressure 190bari
car got super but no so quickly acceleration.
second times set up injectors to 220 bari as specified autodata motor cod ALH
a set IQ(injection quantity ) with VCDS to valor 4

038 906 018 P (80-pin, MSA15.7, Immo2) Passat AFN

038 906 012 AH (121-pin, EDC15VM, Immo2) A6 AVG
Plenty of folk appear to have gone 80pin - 121-pin, either by making an adapter or by swapping pins. My preference would be to swap
harness or swap pins.
You seem to be hung up on Canbus. As I said in my email, just because an ECU uses Canbus for communication with the ABS controller and
dash (for tach, GP led etc) does not mean it does not use K-line for diagnostics. The P suffix ECU is non-CAN, the AH suffix is CAN.

MSA15(68Pin) to EDC15(121Pin) Adapter

by made.ecu » Wed May 08, 2019 9:22 am

Hello Guys!

I´m new here at ecuedit.com and already reading and searching for much information for my project car.

I´m working on an VW Mk3 Syncro which i first engine swapped from the 1.9tdi 1z with wastegate turbo,

to the 1.9tdi AFN with vtg turbo.

Now as i built an selmade exhaust manifold for running an 3.0tdi turbo which was changed from elctronical to negative preasure, an frontmount intercooler

bigger nozzles and a bigger pumphead 11mm different camshaft new head gasket and so and so on..

I wan´t to make an adapter for running the EDC15 instead of the MSA15 becuase it can be tuned via OBD.

I have both wiring diagrams, one of my car and one of the car where the MSA15 came out, an MK4 with ALH Engine. (Please tell me if I´m allowed to post

these here)

But my skills in reading wiring diagrams is not that good and so i wnated to ask maybe someone here have already done something like this or can help me

here, as i would really like to tune the car by myself and get it running properly.

When the wiring is done, the engine will be placed in an MK2-Syncro and before bolting it in, i will put in new rods, new bearings, new piston rings, maybe i

will also port the head of the engine.

Thank you and best regards from Austria!

(Sorry for the bad English)
