As the pandemic strikes all over the world, the world makes

adjustments in almost all sides and fields, so as the prison systems and

people involve in this institution. Reintegration process is also affected and

studies shown that female has a special need when it comes to irehabilitation

compare to males. Subsequently, there are problems or difficulties after the

release of female ex-convicts in which they also develop coping mechanism

to overcome those problems, specially to female ex-convicts.

This study aims to describe, explore and understand the participant’s

situation in a deeper concept, using descriptive case study research design.

The study aims to find answers on 4 major concepts which are the affect of

pandemic on their quality of life, problems or difficulties they face after their

release, coping mechanism they utilized to overcome such difficulties and the

government interventions with regards to their rehabilitation. The participants

of this study are the female ex-convicts that is currently residing in Burauen,

Leyte, which are purposively selected by the researcher. Datum were

collected from them through in-depth interview and were analyzed

thematically.
