We’ve all heard the saying, “Time is money.” While it captures the idea that time is a precious resource,
it falls short. Time is not money. Money can be earned, saved, invested, and budgeted. Time only moves
in one direction, and there’s never enough of it. Despite knowing this intuitively, we often focus too
heavily on money over time. However, valuing time over money can lead to greater life satisfaction.

Money comes and goes, and while finite, our earning potential is theoretically unlimited. Time, however,
ticks steadily away, and lost time can never be recovered. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
