Chapter 1: My parents, my all

My parents are everything I could ask for but, let me start with my dad.

My dad, My Michel, has been and still is the best head of family and a wonderful dad to all his children. I
couldn’t ask for more because his is everything. When I was little, in primary school back in Kumba(when
it was a small peaceful and lovely town), i use to enjoy entering his car t go anywhere and going to his
office to play with the fix phone (which we don’t see anymore nowadays) and call any number i can
think of and when he enters, i pretend I was doing nothing. He has always been a hard working man,
doing everything for the good and well being of his family and until now, he still works at home despite
his age. I admire him a lot for his strength and love. Despite the hardships of life, i have never lacked a
book to write in school for he made sure we always had everything we really needed for our education
and health. I remember one day when he was called in school in Limbe because I fainted during
graduation rehearsal, and when I woke up, i could only remember my mom’s phone number which she
forgot the phone at home and my dad picked the call (somehow, it’s important to answer your wife’s
phone call when it’s an unknown number). He came to school and took me home and on the way, asked
me if I wanted to eat something (one of my best questions when am not feeling fine). At home, i could
feel how worried he was and how ready he was to do anything for me to feel better. That’s my dad, very
caring, open minded and loving. Can’t get enough of that love.

My mom, what can I say, she is just wonderful, i couldn’t ask for a different mom. She was and is a
housewife, a wonderful housewife who took care of the house and all her children beautifully well. It
wasn’t always eggs and bread for breakfast or chicken and fish for Lunch and super but it was a
combination of healthy food for our growth and wellbeing. Always present for all occasions
