King's Court Volleyball Lesson (35 minutes) - understand

- Explain that King's Court is a modified version of volleyball played with 20 students in - proper warm up

- Divide the students into four teams of five players each. Assign each team a corner of - communication

- The objective is for the serving team (the Kings) to win points and keep serving by
either:

- The receiving team's objective is to return the ball and try to win the serve.
- Players within each team rotate positions clockwise after each point won.

- The team that successfully defends against the King's team's serve becomes the new
King's team.
- Play continues until 7 Points
- If a set finishes before the other group, they can continue to play but the winner of
the original set will be the one that moves.

- Emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play throughout the game. Display of
three touches of the volleyball is important as well

Watch clock so that to have time at the end of class for students to get changed. If
possible, allow students to change
