INTRODUCTION
I personally observe that this downgrading of Values Education in
the curriculum has made it harder to raise upright citizens. So, we
see the continuing increase of criminality in different streets of our
country which for other people is a normal thing and part of a
society. We definitely saw this low level of discipline in
disrespectful behavior of children and teens who are most
vulnerable to the use of drugs and oftentimes resort to criminal
actions because they are minor and they cannot be punished like
how punishment applied on adults. Values Education aims to build
character. Character nourishes values. And values make people
what future they want in their own lives. It is the manner of
handling and developing it that would allow both parents
and students to be sensitive to the realities in order to achieve the
desired competencies in the subject matter.

BODY
Most schools do not teach values to their students when values
are more important than knowledge.A child taught good manners
and right conduct early will grow up to become an upright and law-
abiding citizen later. An adult who uses his knowledge to harm
others wasn't taught the right moral values in his childhood."Do
unto others what you want others to do unto you" sums up all the
commandments in any religion. The Golden Rule, which forms the
basis of any law, should be taught very early in childhood.

CONCLUSION
The school, where a child spends most of its formative age (from 4
to 10 years old), should bombard its pupils with moral values. As
an aside, the imparting of moral values doesn't mean teaching
religion, it only means making the child discern good from bad.
There are atheists who are law-abiding citizens and criminals who
are religious. Love for self, family, community, country, and God
are taught in the subject. We should be grateful that this subject
are still taught in different level of education because as what can i
see in this society we are living is that we are blind now on what
we see on social media and made us think that is right where in
fact it is not and will never be right.
