WHO IS BILL GATES?

Bill Gates is a famous American computer

programmer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and
writer. He is best known for co-founding
Microsoft, the world’s largest software
company, and the Bill & Melinda Gates
Foundation, the world’s largest private
charitable foundation. He has also been
involved in various initiatives and projects
related to global health, education, climate
change, and innovation. He is one of the
richest and most influential people in the
world.
THE RISE OF BILL GATES
Bill Gates was born on October 28, 1955, in Seattle, Washington. He was
the second child and the only son of William H. Gates Sr., a prominent
lawyer, and Mary Maxwell Gates, a teacher and community leader. He also
had two sisters, Kristy and Libby.
Bill Gates was a curious and intelligent child who loved to read and learn.
He was especially interested in science, math, and technology. He also
enjoyed playing games, such as chess, Monopoly, and Risk, with his family
and friends. He was competitive and ambitious, always striving to excel
and achieve his goals.
Bill Gates attended a private school called Lakeside School, where he
discovered his passion for programming. He and his friend Paul Allen
learned how to use a computer terminal that was connected to a mainframe
computer at the University of Washington. They spent hours writing and
debugging code, creating their own games and applications. They also
formed a club called the Lakeside Programmers Group, where they offered
their programming skills to various companies and organizations123
Bill Gates was also involved in other activities and hobbies as a kid. He
was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, where he earned the rank of
Life Scout. He also played the trombone in the school band and joined the
drama club. He liked to watch movies, listen to music, and read magazines.
He was fascinated by the world and its problems, and he wanted to make a
positive difference
Bill Gates coded his first program as a teenager. At age 13, he
joined Lakeside prep school in Seattle, where he created his
first software program: a computer version of tic-tac-toe. He
also reprogrammed the school’s class scheduling system and
wrote a payroll program for a local company. He developed a
passion for programming and a vision for the future of personal
computers.
Bill Gates was a college dropout. He enrolled at Harvard
University in 1973, but he dropped out two years later to pursue
his dream of building a software company with his friend Paul
Allen. They founded Microsoft in 1975 and started developing
software for the Altair 8800, one of the first microcomputers.
They also created the programming language BASIC, which
became popular among hobbyists and professionals.
Bill Gates became one of the richest men in the world and one
of the most generous philanthropists. He amassed a fortune of
over $100 billion from his shares and investments in Microsoft
and other companies. He also donated or sold most of his stock
in Microsoft and re-invested it into his charity foundation and
startup businesses. He and his wife Melinda established the Bill
& Melinda Gates Foundation in 2000, which focuses on global
health and development, education, and climate change. They
have given away more than $50 billion to various causes and
initiatives, such as eradicating polio, malaria, and HIV/AIDS,
improving maternal and child health, increasing access to Once you have picked your

INTERESTING FACTS
Gates is monolingual. He explained that one of his biggest regrets in life was
not learning another language.

was driving without a license and ran a red light.
Despite his immense wealth, Gates says his kids will only inherit $10 million
each — just a fraction of his $90.9 billion net worth. "Leaving kids massive
amounts of money is not a favor to them," he says.
Bill Gates has appeared in several TV shows and movies as himself. He has made
cameo appearances in shows such as The Simpsons, Frasier, The Big Bang Theory,
and South Park. He has also starred in documentaries such as Inside Bill’s Brain:
