Guideline of Chinese Language Education

【Mandarin Class】
Our Campus is located in Shalu, the western side of Taichung City, near
Taichung harbor. Our Chinese program lasts 3 hours per day (15 hours per week)
with beginning level to advanced level which includes listening, speaking, reading
and writing.
The class schedule usually is arranged in the mornings from 8:10-10:00,
10:10-12:00 or in the afternoon from 13:10-14:00, Monday to Friday. Your classes
would be arranged according to your level.

【Campus Facility】
Providence University provides various facilities for students to use, such as the
library, tennis court, basketball court, indoor swimming pool, gym, indoor and
outdoor running track ,etc.
We also provide Wi-Fi internet connection throughout our entire campus.

【Tuition Fee】
Our school’s fees for group classes should be paid in cash’s to PU cashier office,
which includes the registration fee NT$600 (US$20), tuition for group classes cost
NT$25,000 (US833) for three months, and accidental insurance for NT$595 (US$20)
for 3 months. You may only pay with cash only as you register at the casher’s office
in Bisgop Hupfer Hall, Providence University.
The book fee is roughly US$33. You can buy them from our PU Campus Cave
Bookstore or in our office.
 【Accommodation 】
For the accommodation information, our dormitory fee cost NT$90 (US$3) per
day. It’s 3-4 persons per room and includes A/C. We do not provide private rooms
for students.
You can choose to stay with local students or stay with foreign students. If you
choose to stay with local students, your Chinese will improve at a much faster rate.
At the same time, if you prefer to stay outside of campus you can go to our CLEC
front page website; there you will find some useful information about acquiring
accommodations.
Our CLEC also provides the information of studio apartments near campus for
international students.
The everyday cost of living per person in Taichung is about USD15-20 dollars per day.
It depends on how much you prefer to spend for your food, transportation etc.

【Airport pick-up service& Public Bus 】

The airport picking up is one of the services we can arrange. If you need it just
let us know the flight schedule, date, time. And the charge would be different as
your flight schedule. Flight arriving time 11:00-21:30, the Cab Company only charge
the basic price NT$899, other time will add NT$500=NT$1,399. You can pay to driver
directly as you arrive at our university.
Also, you can take public transportation from Taoyuan International Airport to Taichung
City; the cost is usually NT$350-400 by bus and NT$600-800 by taxi.

【Registration 】
Please bring your passport and be aware of your arrival and extension dates.
The attendance record will be provided for extending your visa, please apply in our
office at least 14 days before your visa expiration date.
