in terms of functionality, maintainability, usability, and
safety. The collected data were tallied and statistically
treated for further interpretation. The research instrument
was a Likert scale format questionnaire. The researchers
purposefully chose 37 respondents composed of (20)
twenty 3rd year students and (10) ten 2nd year students,
with majors in Bachelor of Science in Automotive
Technology who are enrolled this school year 2021-2022,
(5) five automotive technicians, and (2) two automotive
professors of Bicol University College of Industrial
Technology to represent the sample.
During the development stage, the researchers
designed and constructed the device by measuring the
required materials, cutting them, drilling the required parts,
and welding the cut metals to make the key frame and
separately painted. All the parts were assembled as one
component.
After completing the device, the researchers created a
user's operations manual to assist mechanics and other
users in operating the device. The manual includes the
general safety warnings on work area safety, personal
safety, apparatus use and care, and service and finally the
device's operating instructions.
According to the survey results, the Level of Acceptability of the Oil Dispensing and Collecting Apparatus in terms of its functionality, maintainability, usability and safety. Proven that the construction the apparatus to is anchored to provide great safety to its user/operator, to the vehicle, and the environment, the mean score of the apparatus in terms of safety is 4.76 which has the highest mean score among the four parameters. Alongside safety, the functionality is
