In creating and devising a new product, it should be

beneficial, safe, and environment-friendly. Humans should

take a careful consideration of reducing waste, such as oil.

Waste oil is classified as hazardous waste as it can

contaminate liters of water since it has some dangerous

properties.3 Therefore, the study supports the Republic Act

9483, also known as the “Oil Pollution Compensation Act of

2007”, which aims to protect the marine wealth of its

archipelagic waters, territorial sea and exclusive economic

zone. It provides for the adoption of internationally accepted

measures which improve strict liability for oil pollution

damage and guarantee prompt and adequate compensation

for persons who suffer such damage.4 The sole purpose of

the invention of the oil collecting and dispensing apparatus

is to emphasize the efficient way of collecting oil and

disposing properly the used oil. Having an effective and

efficient way of collecting and disposing oil will address the

problem of oil spillage and abiding by the law further

reinforces malpractice and misconduct regarding matters

about the environment, specifically pollution of bodies of

water and land masses.
