About National Workshop
A Two-Day National Workshop on
"Developing Curricula and Textual Material for
Economics," targeted towards Higher Education
Learners as per the mandate of NEP 2020, is
organised by IKS Research Centre of DES Pune
University, Pune (DESPU) in association with
Institute for Educational and Developmental
Studies (IEDS), Noida. It is being organised on 21st
and 22nd December, 2023, at DESPU campus.
The aim of the national workshop is to align
the curricula according to the National Education
Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines and understand the
importance of integrating Indian Knowledge
Systems for upskilling the learners and honing
them to develop our nation as the Vishwaguru.
NEP 2020 focuses on transforming curriculum and
pedagogy to encourage holistic development of the
learners by imparting skills such as developing
scientific temper, problem-solving, critical thinking,
communication, creativity, ethics, digital literacy
and future skill sets etc.
The workshop discussions will assist in
deciding the major and minor courses that would
be a part of undergraduate and postgraduate
Economics programme. For several other
disciplines like Psychology, Management, English,
etc. such workshops will be held in other reputed
universities in India.
