“CINDERELLA”

Cinderella lives with her stepsisters and their mother. They make her wear
rags and do all the hard work. An invitation to the ball arrives. The
stepsisters go to the ball. A fairy god mother appears and provides
Cinderella with clothes and coach, and footman. Cinderella goes to the ball.
And Cinderella dances with the prince, but leaves hurriedly at midnight;
losing a slipper. The price says he will marry the woman whom the slipper
fits. The stepsisters try to force their feet into the slipper. It fits Cinderella.
Then Cinderella and the prince marry. And they live happily ever after.

ELEMENTS OF THE STORY OF CINDERELLA

 CHARACTER
 The character of the story is Cinderella, fairy godmother, prince,
her stepsisters, and her step mother.

 SETTING
 The story takes place a long time ago in a land ruled by a king and
a queen.

 PLOT
 The plot of the story is external – Cinderella versus the stepsisters
and their mother.

 PROBLEM
 Cinderella wants to go to the ball, but her stepsisters prevent her
from going.

 SOLUTION
 Cinderella tries on the shoe and the prince finds his one true love
and they live happily ever after.

 THEME
 The "Cinderella" story's theme is suggested. The implication for
the reader is that you should act as effectively as you can when
you are in a challenging circumstance. Things will ultimately turn
out well for you.
