SUMMARY

The Cinderella story is a children story about a girl whose

mother died and her father remarried a proud and ill-tempered
woman. The woman had two daughters of the girl’s age who were as
ill-tempered as their mother.

After remarrying her father, her stepmother always gave the girl
hard chores but she never complained. On finishing her chores, she
would warm herself in one of the corners of the chimney and thus her
sisters called her Cinderella. Then the two sisters got invited to a ball
at the palace in honor of the Prince. They left her behind.

As she wept for being left behind, her godmother came and
magically showed her how to go to the palace. She also dressed
Cinderella magnificently. After reaching the palace, the prince invited
her to the next ball in which Cinderella lost her glass slipper. The
prince vowed to marry the girl who could wear the slipper and it
emerged that Cinderella was the only one. She was thus married by
the Prince.

SIGNIFICANT IDEAS

Good people are always rewarded at the right time.

In this Princess Cinderella story, Cinderella might have been a little

meek, but she conquered all at the end of the day because she
believed in kindness. She remembered to stay good while everyone
around her was bad. Remember when the stepsisters tore apart her
beautiful pink dress, the one that originally belonged to her deceased
mother? Cinderella has always been good despite the difficulties she
faced. The Prince found her though she had cinders all over her dress
and hair. He fell in love with her innocence and goodness.

Never stop dreaming.

“If you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.”
Cinderella HERSELF says this! Well, technically she sings it, but, in a
Disney movie, doesn’t that just make it more true and important?
Cinderella holds onto her dream of escaping the wrath of her
despicable stepmother and stepsisters. She dreams that she’ll never
have to do the chores they tell her to again; she dreams that she will
be able to go to the ball; she dreams that she’ll just be able to leave
the home she’s in. And she never loses faith — in the end, all of her
dreams come true.
