WRITING AN INFORMAL EMAIL

Hi Francesca!

I’m sorry for not writing earlier, I really wanted to, but I’ve been very busy
since I returned to Buenos Aires. I remember the great time we’ ve spent
together in the UK and I want to thank you for letting me stay with your
family 👪 . Please send my greetings to them. Tell your mum she cooks the
best lasagna I’ve ever eaten 🍝, after my grandma´s of course, but I think we
can allow this white lie.

I have just moved all my stuff to the new flat I told you about, I attach you
some photos. At the moment there isn’t any furniture but I like it in this way
because it’ll give me the opportunity to think about what things I really
need. For example I’m not going to buy a TV and use this money to buy a
new bike instead. What do you think of that? Do you think I’ll miss the TV
sooner? I’m going to paint the walls too. Do you think an orange color for
the kitchen room will suit it well? I would appreciate your advice on this
topic, I loved how you’ve painted your bedroom, you have the best taste of
all. What’s your secret for choosing the right colors?!🎨

My holidays have already finished and a new academic scholar year has
started.🏫 I’ve been teaching in this school for three years and, although I’m
glad with the job, I’ve decided to look for a new one because the actual
school is far away from home. I usually spend two hours a day traveling
downtown where the school is located. I realized I got home very tired and
mainly because of the trip. I need to improve my freetime so I can get the
best of my day doing other stuff I like.

Last night I went to a tribute show to celebrate the left handed drummer
Enrique Roizner and I remembered you. Do you know him? I’d bet you do,
he’s the Kevin Johanssen’s drummer and I remember you are a big fan of
his music. Enrique has turned 83 years old recently🎂. What a number isn’t
it? They have been playing together since 2002 and Enrique has had a great
career as a drummer, he has played with a lot of great musicians, including
Vinicious de Moraes and Astor Piazzolla!. I remember you told me you’re
going to start music lessons. Have you already decided which musical
instrument you would like to play? Why don’t you try drums? 🥁Unlike me
I’ve noticed you have a great sense of rhythm!

I want to thank you for paying my ticket to the Natural History Museum. I
hope it didn't hasn’t cost you a lot of money. I will pay you back as soon as
possible. I spent a great afternoon watching all those amazing antiques🗿,
what a great place! I’ve never seen a place like that before in my life.
History really gets alive in there! What do you think about the Sherlock
Holmes museum? You know I’m a big fan of all Sherlock’s cases Shall we
visit it next time? I won’t forget to take some extra money with me the next
time.👛

I’ve been taking English classes during the last two months. In fact, I’ve to
confess this email is one of the tasks the teacher has just assigned us . You
catch me! Just kidding, I’m really glad to be writing to you now the
weekend has arrived. I have an offer for you! Would you like to visit me in
Buenos Aires in June?✈️ Do you want to stay at home? Remember this
Spanish spanish phrase: “Mi casa es tu casa”. I was thinking we could go to
see Caetano Veloso’s performance at the Movistar Area. He’s going to play
many of his greatest songs on June 6th, I think you’ll love his music!

days in the UK as one of the greatest trips in my life and that’s because of
you and your kindness.😌 I owe you a lot, my friend!
