NIKEN Update
Dear Yamaha Partner

We are about to embark on one of the most exciting and biggest events of the year, Motorcycle Live.
Our full 2019 model line-up will be on show and will include the NIKEN and NIKEN GT. NIKEN has
gained many plaudits in the press and feedback from test rides at NIKEN specialist dealers has been
resoundingly positive.

The next phase for our NIKEN roll-out is to add the NIKEN GT which enhances the touring ability of the
NIKEN and also remove the online order system to allow direct orders through YMUK.

I can confirm that the retail price for NIKEN GT will be £14,699.

NIKEN and NIKEN GT will remain “sold units only” for all but our specialist NIKEN dealers. However,
customers will be able to order NIKEN and NIKEN GT with you directly and you can now order with us
via email, phone or through your ASM. As with any “sold unit only” order you must supply the customer
name and address details with each order which will be checked against warranty registration data.

NIKEN specialist dealers will continue to run Demo units, and the system to share margin - should one
of your customers test ride with a specialist but then choose to buy from you - will remain in place.

Following the announcement at EICMA of the NIKEN GT, all NIKEN owners were contacted by Yamaha
Europe and offered the opportunity to upgrade their NIKEN to GT specification. A copy of the letter
sent to the NIKEN customers is attached. The letter gave the cost as 1,000 Euro to upgrade; the UK
retail price will be £890 with 25% dealer margin on the kit. Should any customers who have ordered
through the online system wish to upgrade, alongside our commitment to the upgrade being at a
subsidised price, we would ask that you fit the accessories without charge. Please order these
Upgrade Kits with your ASM.
