Communication Skills

1. How would you rate your communication skills? (Extending, Proficient, Developing, Emerging)
Why?
Proficient. When I had to talk to random people about uninteresting topics, I managed to hold a
conversation for the whole 3 minutes. I did this by asking them more questions about their experiences
and whenever the conversation got dry, I would change the subject to avoid awkward silences.
2. How can you improve your communication skills?
I can improve by adding humour to my conversations rather than keeping it formal all the time because it
will make the conversation more fun and enjoyable whereas if I just stayed serious the whole time the
other person would get bored and not want to talk to me.
3. Do you feel confident to market yourself in an Interview?
Why or why not?

I feel like I could use more practice in that area because I can get scared when talking to someone
superior to me and I have never been in a job interview before. With a little practice and experience I
think I will be perfectly fine.
