Additionally, hydrogen can be produced via electrolysis, which uses

renewable energy such as solar and wind power. This process eliminates
carbon dioxide production, thereby reducing air pollution.
(Matt) Environmental - What are the negative implications
of using hydrogen?
UM ACTUALLY! Steam reforming is the most common
method of producing hydrogen, using natural gas that
releases CO2. Not to mention, other forms of producing
hydrogen make use of fossil fuels such as coal and oil. These
methods contribute to more than 95% of the total hydrogen
produced. Furthermore, the fuel cells used to power hydrogen
vehicles require large quantities of rare earth elements like
platinum.

Additionally, hydrogen can be produced locally, eliminating the monopoly that

oil-rich countries have. This benefit offers economic stability over time, as
individual nations won’t be disrupted by global tariffs, sanctions, and political
strife.
(MATT) Economical - How is hydrogen worse for the
economy?
Um actually because our economy is dependent on fossil
fuels, building a hydrogen station would be at least double
the cost of a gas or electric station
Distribution of the compressed hydrogen adds to the
complexity of developing sufficient infrastructure. In order to
completely replace gas with hydrogen globally, it would
require around 3 to 4 times more storage; this is estimated to
cost up to 637 billion dollars by 2050.

Hydrogen vehicles are much quieter than standard vehicles, and can reduce
work-related hearing loss for workers who are constantly exposed. Studies
have found that up to 26.8% of truck and bus drivers experience hearing loss.
(MATT) Safety - Why is hydrogen dangerous?
Um actually due to their extremely small molecules, hydrogen
must be transported in high-pressure and leak proof tanks.
Hydrogen is highly reactive with air, so a leak may lead to
combustion occurring, with the scale at which hydrogen
would need to be transported and stored it is prone to this
inevitable failure.
