Task: Assignment – Jobs and
Occupations
Today is our first day of class in the international English student program in New York. We are

excited to meet our classmates, who come from different countries and have various jobs and

occupations. Let me introduce you to three of them: Rocio is a student from Italy, she is 26 years

old and works as an architect. Rocio is a creative and talented person who is always willing to help

her colleagues. She is very friendly and always willing to share her knowledge and experience.

José is a student of Spanish origin. He is 28 years old and works as a civil engineer. José is a very

intelligent and dedicated person. You are always looking for new ways to solve problems and

improve your skills. In addition, he is very friendly and always has a smile on his face.

Betty is a student of Colombian origin. She is 20 years old and works as a waitress in a restaurant.

Betty is a very sociable and outgoing person. She loves interacting with people and is always

willing to listen and learn from others. Furthermore, she is very passionate about music and dreams

of becoming a professional singer one day.

These are just three examples of the wonderful classmates we have in our international student

program in New York. We are excited to learn and grow together throughout this course.
