Le reactif STA•• CaCl2 0.025 M est utilise pour les tests de coagulation
tels que le temps de c0phaline + activateur (TCA) ou le dosage des
\facteurs de la voie endog8ne sur les instruments des familles STA-R4",
jSTA Compact". STA Satellite• et ST ar�.
2/ COMPOSITION
Chaque coffret de STA• - CaCl2 0.025 M contient un papillon avec
code-barre. Ce code-barre renferme les informations suivantes : numero
de lot, reference du coffret, reference du r8actif et date de p8remption.

Le coffret intact doit 8tre conserve a 2-25 °C. Ce reactif
est destine exclusivement a un usage de diagnostic ;::::::;;;;

4/ PREPARATION DU REACTIF
Si le llacon est conserve a 2-8 °C, le laisser 30 minutes a temperature
ambiante (18-25 °C) avant emploi.
Lorsque ce reactif est utilise sur les apparei1s de la ligne STAe, ne pas
mettre de STA 8 - Reducer ni de capsule opercul8e.
5/ STABILITE ET CONSERVATION DU REACTIF
Conserve A 2-25 "C sous son 8tat d'origine, le r8actif est stable jusqu'A la
date de peremption indiqu8e sur le cottret.
Apres ouverture, te r8actif est stable :
- 24 heures A 37 "C
!- 3 jours sur !es instruments des fammes STA-� et STA Compact<!>
I- 6 jours sur les instruments de la famille STA Satellitee_
En cas d'utilisation fractlonnee, la solution restante de STA* • CaCl2
0.025 M maintenue A 2-8 "C dans son flacon d'origine bouche, est stable,
si non contamin8e, jusqu'8 la date de p8remption indiqu8e sur le flacon.

7/ MODE D'EMPLOI
je Sur les instruments de la famme ST art«>, se reporter aux notices
correspondant aux tests a realiser.
:• Sur les instruments des familles STA-�. STA Compa� et STA Satellite•,
• apres ouverture du flacon, le charger dans l'instrument comma indiquli
dans le ·Manuel de reference" de l'appareil utilise. Le positionnement du
flacon sera realise de la fa�n suivante
- sur les mod8!es STA-RIBI, placer le flacon clans la zone R2 du tiroir produits
- sur les mod8Ies Compact', giacer le flacon dans le tiroir produits
- sur les modeles STA Satellite , placer le flacon clans te carrousel produits.
L:instrument utilisera automatiquement le STA111 • CaCl2 0.025 M (voir le
•Manuel de reference").

1/ INTENDED USE
STA• - CaCl2 0.025 M is an aqueous solution of calcium chloride intended
for the clotting tests such as the activated partial thromboplastin time
(aPTT) or for the assays of intrinsic pathway factors on the analyzers of thel
STA-A". STA Compac�. STA Satellite• and ST art" families. j
2/ KIT CONTENTS
An Assay Value insert with a barcode is provided in the box. This barcode
contains the following information: lot number, kit code number, reagent
code number and expiration date.

3/ PRECAUTIONS
Store at 2-25 "C. For in vitro diagnostic use only. This solution is to be used
only by certified medical laboratory personnel authorized by the laboratory.
Read the Reference Manual of the analyzer model carefully before starting.
Exercise great care in the handling of this solution and of patient samples.
The disposal of waste materials must be carried out according to current
local regulations.
For a user in the European Union and in countries with identical regulator(:

4/ SOLUTION PREPARATION
If the solution is refrigerated, allow it to stand at room temperature
(18-25 °C) for 30 minutes, before use.
Do not install either an STA• - Reducer or a per1orated cap on the solution
bottle if it is to be used on analyzers of the STAe line.
5/ SOLUTION STORAGE
The solution in intact bottles is stable until the expiration date indicated on
the box label, when stored at 2-25 °C.
After opening, it remains stable for:
- 24 hours at 37 "C
- 3 days on analyzers of the STA-� and STA Compact31 families
- 6 days on analyzer of the STA Satellite• family.
In case of partial use, the remaining solution stored at 2-8 °C in its original
bottle with the cap on top, is stable, when free of any contamination, until
the expiration date indicated on the bottle.
6/ REAGENTS A ND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED BUT NOT
PROVIDED
• Reagents for performing coagulation tests.
, Analyzers of the STA-A", STA Compac�. STA Satellite*or ST a�lamilies;
• Common clinical laboratory equipment and materials.
7/ PROCEDURE
• When pertorming tests with analyzers of the ST a� family, refer to th�
test reagents instructions for use.
• With analyzers of the STA-A", STA Compact" and STA Satellite�
families, after opening of the solution bottle, load it into the instrumen�
according to the recommendations of the Reference Manual of the
analyzer model. The vial position in the instrument is the following:
- on STA-� models, place the bottle in the R2 area of the product drawer
- on STA Compac� models, place the bottle in the product drawer
- on STA Satellite• models, place the bottle in the product carousel.
The 0.025 M CaCl2 solution is automatically used by the instrument (see
the Reference Manual).
