Project Title Cool Riding Gears
Design Challenge There are two main challenges in designing gear: 1) Fit and 2) Feminine Designs that
Work with Armor.

Design Challenge Context and FIT: - The shape of bodies is quite comples.the body have more curves and those curves
Background Info come in many different shapes and sizes
DESIGN: - The main design challenge in motorcycle gear is how to design a light look while
incorporating armor.
Off Set the Armor: - Strong design elements can balance out the bulky armor lines. Examples
of this are the large lapels of the Victoria jacket as well as the pleats of the Victoria and
Elizabeth jackets
Distract The Eye: - Well-placed lines can visually slim by distracting the eye from bulky
sections or giving the illusion of curves. The Emma jacket incorporates lines to this effect.

Why does this Design Challenge matter to the organization

A. CHALLENGE OR PROBLEM DEFINITION (contd...)

Goals and objectives of the The goals and objectives of the design is to make the gear’s light and durable comparatively
Design Challenge and to make this possible with the placements of body armors as well.

Target users of this Design The target users of this design is mainly the professional racers of F1 car racing and
Challenge International bike racing competitions. But we will also make it for the common people in a
different price bracket
Other key stakeholders The other key stakeholders are the design and performance of the riding gears

Previous efforts to solve this The previous efforts included reduction of armor or usage of cheap material to make it lighter

Inspirations from others in solving this The main inspiration is taken from the impacted users who used different and cheaper quality gears which
Design Challenge costed them parts of their lives.

Team’s contributions The team contributes in the basic and core level by providing impact assessment and new ideas or solutions
to make the gears better for the consumers

Success criteria The success criteria on this are high as well as low depending on the comparison.

2. Cyclists
3. Formula 1 Drivers
4. Professional motorsport racer

The Problems

 Gear Maintenance:
Keeping gear clean and well-maintained can be time-consuming, and
some gear materials may require special care or cleaning products.
 Helmet Fogging:
Visor and glasses fogging can impair vision, especially during cold or
rainy conditions.
 Weight and Fatigue:
Carrying the weight of protective gear, especially when off the bike,
can be tiring and lead to fatigue over long rides or when walking
around off the motorcycle.
 Heat and Sweating:
In hot weather, wearing protective gear can cause riders to sweat
excessively, leading to discomfort and dehydration.

34
The Solutions

1.Gear Maintenance
we are providing gear maintenance kits which help in the regular maintenance of our
gears.

2. Helmet Fogging
We will be providing the anti-fogging solution and Pinlock lens
Pinlock optical lens is an additional type that fits in the visor. Its double glazing helps
to maintain the same temperatures on both the outside and interior visors. The pin-lock
visor stays closed during cold and humid days.

3. Weight and Fatigue

We are using light weight material i.e., non-Newtonian fluid material

4. Heat and Sweating:

The design of the riding gears is made in such a way that the air can easily flow through
so that the user does not feel any fatigue while wearing it.

35
The resolutions

1. The basic aim is to remove the price bracket from each and every part of the
community while providing best quality.
2. There would be no compromise with the material which can harm the consumer
in future.
3. Also, erase the monopoly of the market by releasing a superior product with a
much better price bracket.
