Photoshop 1 was released to the public in 1990 Photoshop 3, released in 1995, introduced layers!

There are a variety of attributes you can use to manage and orga-

The bottom of the layers panel provides the following options; cre-

“Boundaries” contain the layers content (pixels) within it.
NOTES:
SECTION 6: Adjustment Layers

• Non-destructive editing: a
technique for editing that
allows you to go back to
the original if needed
• Destructive editing: a
technique of editing that
applies “edits” directly to
the pixel layer and is per-
manent.
Duplicate the original layer and
apply your edits on this new
“adjustment layer”.
WARNING!
This section is a bit faster paced
then previous sections. If you’re new to editing we’ll go
into more detail (and at a slower pace) in future sections.
