be kept in a 3-ring binder, a Tip - In Card that can be washi taped in the back of your
Bible, or a Bookmark option. Each of these formats include a blank color code to make
your own if you don't want to use the one we provide.

Identify the type of passage; cultural, or timeless
teaching, poem, eyewitness account, or parable.
Look for repeated words.
Look for transition words (i.e. but, and, therefore,
as a result, such as, then, etc. )
Use a commentary for clarification of passages.
Look-up definitions, Greek or Hebrew words for
better understanding.
Use a notebook or journal to write what the Holy
Spirit shows you through scripture.
Highlight words or use symbols in a passage
based on the color and symbol code you
created.
