    To tie a fishing hook to a line, thread the line through the hole in the top of the hook. Pull the line through to create a loop where the line touches itself. Hold the loop and twist the hook clockwise 5-6 times through the loop. Thread the line end back through the loop and pull tight to secure the knot. Cut off any excess line.

    How to tie a fishing hook to a line

    Grab your hook and thread the line


    through the hole at the top of the hook

    Pull the line through some more and


    create a loop, with the line touching itself

    Now, while holding your line together


    with your loop created, grab the hook
    with your other hand and twist the hook
    clockwise about 5 - 6 times

    After twisting your line, grab the end of


    your line and thread it through the loop
    you created

    To finish off your line, grab the line above the knot with one
    hand and the hook with the other, and pull to ensure your knot
    is tight and secured. Cut off the excess line if needed.
