1 Scope
This standards defines the requirements with respect to the followings
1.1 Generating Engineering Drawings & Documents / Technical Data
1.2 Handover of Documents / Technical Data.
The requirements outlined in this guideline including its references shall apply to all
Contractors, suppliers and Sub-Contractors.
CONTRACTORs shall fully comply with all SABIC Standards related to document and
data deliverables requirements. Any deviation or non-compliance in requirements of this
standard including its references will not be acceptable unless approved by representative
of Custodian Department in accordance with Z01-G06: Waiver Procedure.

Smart Plant Enterprise Consist of SmartPlant PID, SmartPlant Instrument, SmartPlant
Electrical, SmartPlant 3D & SmartPlant Foundation.
Mechanical Catalogue Mechanical Catalogue is bound compilation of Hard Copy of drawings
and data intended to assist company’s personnel in running and
maintaining the plant.
Custodian Department E&PM Site Project Services (SPS) - Custodian of softcopy and
hardcopy Technical information on behalf of SABIC & its Affiliates.

4 Numbering System
4.1 Respective affiliate Numbering Systems shall be used for modification to existing
Units/Facilities, Debottlenecking and Expansion Projects and any new plants in existing
affiliate.
4.2 Numbering Systems as referred in Section 2.0 “SES References” of this standard shall be
used for New Affiliates.

5 Generating Engineering Documents / Data


Engineering Documents / Data shall be generated in Two Type of Electronic Format as Follows:
5.1 TEF (Documents generated using Smart Plant Enterprise)
The Drawings/Documents shall be generated in accordance with the requirements
outlined in SES # D02-D02 “Engineering Tools and Data Structure “ using the following
Engineering Software Applications, hereby referred as Engineering Tools. For exact
prevalent software version number, service pack and hotfix etc. in use and corresponding
and compatible database versions, please contact Custodian Department.

Seed files for above-mentioned engineering tools except for Smart 3D, shall be provided
to contractors at the beginning of FEED phase and shall be used create FEED
deliverables.

5.2 Non-TEF (Document generated outside Smart Plant Enterprise)


2D CAD Drawings shall be generated in accordance with the requirements outlined in SES
# D02-D01 “Drafting Standards “. All other engineering documents shall be generated
using the following software.

Seed files for Micro station and border templates will be provided to contractors at the
beginning of FEED phase and shall be used to create FEED deliverables.
5.3 Standard Compliance Audits:
Custodian Department shall either conduct periodic audits during the execution of the
projects, independently or part of project QA Audit process at established project
milestones to ensure that Contractor is in full compliance to the requirements mentioned
in this guideline and its reference as well as ensuring an efficient data handover process
at the end of project.

6 Handover of Documents/Data.
All Engineering Documents / Data shall be delivered in As-Built condition, in accordance with the
requirements of SES# D01-G04 “Document Deliverable List” and in the following format.
6.1 Electronic Documents/Data
6.1.1 TEF
Contractor shall deliver the complete database archive (backups) for engineering
tools in accordance with the requirements of SES # D02-D02 “Engineering Tools
and Data Structure” Section 7.1 TEF Deliverable Requirements.
6.1.2 Non-TEF
Contractors shall deliver all drawings/documents with complete index (Metadata)
in accordance with the requirements of SES # D02-D02 “Engineering Tools and
Data Structure” Section 7.2. Non-TEF Deliverable Requirements.

6.2 Mechanical Catalogue (Hard Copy Documents Deliverable)


Contractors shall deliver Mechanical Catalogue in As-Built condition with complete
index in accordance with the requirements of SES# D01-G03 “Mechanical Catalogue”

6.3 Time Schedule


Contractors shall submit Deliverables as per the following time schedule:

6.4 Quantity
The Contractor to provide following quantities for each deliverable type.
 Electronic format - Two (2) sets of portable external hard disk.
 Hard Copies of Mechanical Catalogue in binders - Two (2) sets.

6.5 Acceptance Criteria for Electronic & Hard Copy Deliverables:


The handover of the project deliverables do not constitute an automatic acceptance of
the deliverable. The Custodian department shall accept the deliverables from projects,
based on satisfactory completion of the following conditions:
 SABIC & Affiliate acceptance and approval of the As-Built design.
 All Deliverables shall be delivered in accordance with the requirements mentioned
in SES as well as contractual requirements.
 All outstanding audit findings on non-compliance are closed or an approved waiver
provided prior to handover process which will be verified by the custodian
department.
 Successful completion of final audit of project deliverables with no open item in Audit
findings. If any non-compliance items identified in the deliverable for which there
was no waiver approved prior to handover process, contractor will be obligated to
make necessary changes to satisfy the compliance requirement in reasonable time.
 The Custodian department shall issue a “Final Document/Data Delivery Acceptance
Certificate” after successful completion of Handover Process.

 In Case Contractor is unable to provide a satisfactory plan within 2 weeks of final


Data deliverable Audit report or unable to provide the corrected data deliverables
within reasonable time, the Data Correction work will be outsourced to a third party
and the cost of this correction shall be deducted from Contractors pending payment.
