RECOMMENDATION

While the SABERKAS did their community programs without any problems and difficulties,

there are still some things that still need to be improved and enhanced. SABERKAS has

entered 51st year in 2023, they can be seen to have grown in terms of the program they run in

the community. It is undeniably a satisfying thing because the programs conducted give so

many benefits. In fact, there are ways to improve this NGO to be better for the good of the

people.

First, mission and vision clarity of it. By revise the mission and vision statements to make

them clearer and in line with the organization's current objectives, revise the mission and

vision statements. For example, "Empowering Sarawak's youth for sustainable development

and unity. Next, inclusivity and diversity will also contribute to make SABERKAS will be

better. Declare a commitment to diversity and inclusivity in the constitution. For example,

"SABERKAS is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that welcomes and respects

individuals of all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or socio-economic

status.” Other than that, training and development. As mentioned, by including provisions for

training and development, for instance "SABERKAS shall organise at least two training

workshops annually to enhance the skills and knowledge of its members, with topics and

facilitators determined by the Executive Committee."

Moving on to the next content, as a good Ngo, SABERKAS can update changes made to the

template budget. It is evident that many donors either reject or fail to include enough items to

cover such sustainability. NGOs should exercise extreme caution when adding budget rates to

ensure that they adequately cover staff training, office space, computers, staff funds, and

communications. Although it implies that short-term projects will be sacrificed, this is not the
case. NGOs with a high capacity and ample resources can plan and execute long-term,

significant impacts. For SABERKAS, they have been established since 21 st July 1972. There

is no denying that they have achieved a variety of great successes over the years. As we know

they have given so many kinds of helps to the society such as money, food, aids support for

education to schools, laptops, growth in athletics, music, and writing, and instruction in

business. Their main focus is for the people going through flood, landslide, fire, mutual

cooperation, and for the one in needs.

Through the implementation of these enhancements, SABERKAS aims to improve its

transparency, governance structure, and overall effectiveness in fulfilling its mission and

providing youth services in Sarawak. Involving members and legal experts among other

important stakeholders in the evaluation and approval of these modifications is crucial. The

constitution will remain relevant and flexible over time if it is regularly monitored and

evaluated.
