CORPORATE CRISIS MANAGEMENT PLAN

FIRST HOUR RESPONSE

In the event of an emergency, please remain calm and follow the directions from the
Project Superintendent and Buttcon Limited Staff

1. TAKE COMMAND – The Supervisor will take charge of the crisis and assign duties to
specific personnel.

2. GIVE FIRST AID – Ensure that the injured receive first aid and/or medical attention –
the care of any victim is of the utmost concern.

3. PROVIDE PROTECTION – The Supervisor or delegate will protect the scene of the
incident/accident from continuing or further hazards. Do not move anything that could
be classified as evidence.

4. ASSIST EMERGENCY PERSONNEL – post workers at project entrance to guide


emergency vehicles to the incident scene. Clear roads as needed for emergency
vehicles.

5. ADVISE MANAGEMENT – inform Senior Management of the incident.

6. ISOLATE THE SCENE – barricade, rope off or post a guard at the scene to make sure
that nothing is moved or changed until management and authorities have completed
their investigation(s).

7. INITIATE INVESTIGATION – document events, identification of emergency services,


take photos, etc.

8. NOTIFY OTHERS – if necessary, the Supervisor or Buttcon Limited Office will notify
family of the injured.

In the event of a critical injury or fatality, the Ministry of Labour will be notified by the Supervisor and/or
Safety Manager(s).

In all cases of Crisis: Buttcon Limited designates CEO, Michael Butt and President, Peter Di Gaetano
as media spokespersons. Employees and field personnel must be aware of this policy and
encouraged to politely direct any media inquiries to the designated spokesperson.
